RUINED IN ROMANIA!! – Andrew Strom

I am writing this in one of those squat concrete Communist apartment buildings where I spent the night last night. But despite the Communists’ best efforts, Romania is still a beautiful country and this has been a very interesting trip…

Above all, it has been so refreshing to be in a ‘European’-type
country where convicting Holy Ghost preaching is actually
WELCOMED instead of being shown the door. I cannot count
the number of Romanian leaders who have begged me to come
back to preach the same kind of heart-searching “clean conscience”
message again. I have grown so used to the West – where I am
“NIB” – Never Invited Back – almost without fail. Even when they
see people repenting all over the place. So discouraging. The last
10 years have been something of a nightmare – except in places
like Africa which also welcomes this kind of piercing word. Many
times I have felt like a complete outcast.

Here it is the opposite. People love the word – and have actually
been praying for piercing Holy Ghost preaching that convicts and
cleanses. They don’t care about “feel-good”. They want the word
of the Lord – and they recognize the heavy presence of the Holy
Spirit when they witness it. -So refreshing.

Prayer is uppermost in the Pentecostal churches here. Even on
Sunday mornings there is an hour of prayer before the main
meeting – and the room is packed. They truly believe in “agonizing”
prayer. And these are big churches. To be sure, Western eyes
might see them as being more “traditional” than we are used to.
Romania is still modernizing, and still coming to terms with the
flood of Western influences – not all of them good. But at least they
have kept out a lot of the “junk”. So not every tradition is “bad”.

It seems to me that many parts of the West have now completely
lost the things that made them open to God’s great Awakenings
of the past. A comfortable, consumerist culture is unlikely to want
to hear about piercing repentance – even in the church. We have
come so far that I question whether many nations are open to a
true Revival at all any more. A fake shallow one like Lakeland – yes.
But a true “repentance” Revival? Not likely.

The dry “kindling” in peoples’ hearts that God always used to start
Revivals in the past is now utterly lacking. In many places a piercing
word of the Finney/Wesley type has not been heard in a generation.
We are so used to “marketing-speak” and consumer hype – so used
to having our ears tickled – that Holy Spirit conviction is most

Sadly if this is so, we can kiss our Awakenings goodbye. They
don’t come out of “nowhere”, as some people think. Every
Awakening needs “kindling-wood” to start and to spread. In the
West this has virtually disappeared in the great rush to satisfy
“self”. A sad day indeed.

And so I look forward to visiting Romania again. Maybe so should
we all.

  1. I understand having preached in Romania and adjoining Moldova for upwards of 25years. The Lord bless you as you speak for him

  2. Andrew Aug 12th 2013

    Good on you, Steve.

Yes – I was in the Romanian side of Moldova also. But not the Republic.

    What a beautiful country.

  3. Dorothy Crothers Aug 12th 2013

I find it painfully embarassing that Father can only work in countries other than America where there is a church on every corner.

  4. Andrew Aug 12th 2013

Actually Dorothy – the whole Western world is all the same.

In fact, America is often somewhat better than other Western nations for preaching the word.

Still – it is very sad…

  5. Thank you for posting… I loved reading this… “repent” … the word itself has been reduced to a hush…. lest we offend… true revival can come but one way… keep on speaking the truth… keep on loving the lost… truly He is glorified in you.
May our Lord continue to bless you and yours!

  6. 100% Zululander Aug 12th 2013

Wonderful Andrew. We have been praying for your meetings & the feedback is appreciated.
Why dont you come back to Africa (beanie, music & all) don’t worry about the complainers. Not that you did anyway
    Be Blessed. .Ian

  7. I disagree that there is no hunger for that in North America, but many of us are outside the institution. At the same time, my friends inside of it are also hungry, almost desperate for God to come and do something. Only small numbers to be sure, but it’s a start. Some people in North America are showing signs of genuine hunger for God. It is wonderful to hear how things are in Romania, and yes, the west is a mess, but I still have hope, based on what I see here in Canada. I am hearing that there is a bit of an awakening going on in seeker friendly churches, regarding the mess they have created with their shallow veneer only Christianity. Even Bill Johnson has been preaching on the fear of God lately…so just maybe, things will correct? I do believe that revival may come out from non-western nations, forgotten places like Romania, and even Denmark!

  8. Brother Andrew – just keep preaching the Word of Christ dear one…the same thing happened to us on a trip to central Russia years ago. Eager souls and many invites to return!

We’re still begging the Lord for more eager souls here in the west …

  9. Hello Andrew. What joy mixed with sorrow. Here’s something I posted not too long ago. Blessings.

Raymond Ashmore It wasn’t a very large group, perhaps fifty or so. But they were famous. Many audiences had heard their words, their prognostications, their assurances to their listeners. What was being foretold would come to pass. These were the positive ones, speaking blessings and prosperity over the children of God.

About fifty yards away there was another group. Some famous, some not so. Their clothing varied by their religious traditions, from pomp to smart casual. A few were even wearing jeans (imagine the “disrespect”). These, as well as members of the other gathering, were career Christians, not depending on “seed gifts” but annual budgets for their financial provisions.

Both groups were standing on an unidentified beach looking west at the ocean breakers–as dusk and then darkness covered them. To a man (or woman) they were puzzled. They had expected light. After all, their Savior had promised light. But darkness fell and their frustration mounted. How would they be able to read their notes, their bulletins, their manuscripts? “Oh well, candles and lanterns are stored in the closets and attics of our sanctified places. But wait, what about oil and wicks? Do we know if we can even give them light? It’s been so long”

Far away, a very small group gathered on another distant beach. Expectation mounted as they shivered in the cold. And then first sign appeared, a glow on the horizon, the “first light” of the new day. As the sun rose in the east the little group rejoiced. “It has come as He promised! The new day, the new kingdom.” “But what about the ones on the other coast? What will become of them?”

The wind blew in from the ocean and whispered to the small group: “What will be will be. The others lived their lives facing west–western values, western kingdoms, western customs. But has not the King and Bridegroom promised in His word? He comes from the East. The light of His presence from the East is rising in you as I speak. Be still…wait…enjoy. He comes for you.”

  10. Andrew Aug 12th 2013

Val – are they truly hungry for a “piercing” word and deep repentance?

I know there are some, but not that many….

    Bless you!

  11. Andrew,

Very encouraging to hear of the reception in Romania for what God had you bring them. I am turning 60 in a few weeks and as a resident of Oregon, USA, have been preparing, praying, prophesying, into a revival/reformation for over 30 years and have often considered the obstacles we face in the west that would hinder the good news. I would like to encourage you that there are no obstacles too great for the convicting power of the Holy Spirit and the Love of God to conquer and that “kindling” does indeed exist in everyone. Whether it is an unsaved soul with a depraved heart or a saved soul with a depraved heart the need for Jesus is there… whether they realize it or not. It is true that the fog that blinds many people in the west and other places is seemingly much thicker and impenetrable, however, as we see with many great moves of God, that fog was pierced and hearts were convicted as the Holy Spirit moved mightily and worldliness, cares, lusts, and distractions were exposed and the love of God completed the work. We Christians believe the lie that many people are impossible to reach in our time because of the enormous availability and pressure of sins. While there is some truth in this we should not loose perspective and know that those pressures of sin existed just as powerfully in Finney’s, time as they did in Jesus time and as they do today. They too were comfortable consumerists and the solution remains the same. I have this hope and encourage my brothers and sisters to have the same hope that God will indeed break through all cultures and people groups to bring the amazing Good News of the Kingdom with the message preached accurately with power and signs and wonders and repentance.

  12. jennifer Aug 12th 2013

understand completely the “outcast” comment…but we are His outcasts! suffering outside the camp…
Andrew, He has had many of us in the usa in the wilderness for years…I hear you about the need for dry wood to start the fire…but what will it take in the usa to bring about the right conditions for such dry wood? He knows! it is coming, it will be hard, but He has His remnant here…and we are called to prepare, not stock piling provisions, but having our wicks trimmed and oil filled! keep praying my brother…you are a voice we need to hear and there aren’t many left that have such a wide platform…praying for you…and know that what God has given you is not in vain, it will bring about it’s intended purpose! Praising Him!
    your outcast sister, jennifer

  13. Andrew Aug 12th 2013

I understand exactly what you are saying, Brad.

But I do believe the “consumerist” mentality is stronger in the last 50 years than any time in history.

It has truly affected us more than we know…

    Bless you!

  14. Wet wood does not a fire kindle.

    Revival – not likely.!!!!.

  15. Andrew Aug 12th 2013

    But not impossible

    At least that is something!!!

  16. Andrew Aug 12th 2013

With God all things are possible

    But what’s it going to take….. ?

  17. Thank you for sharing this encouraging report. I believe that we can and must tap into that same spirit everywhere. The gospel of the Kingdom must be preached in every nation, as a witness to all the peoples. From the beginning this has been a message of repentance empowered by the Holy Spirit. In areas where the so-called church leaders consider this gospel something to “not invite back” we need to work around them by preaching this message in the streets and/or in secular venues. This message is simply too important: The honor of God is simply too important. The salvation of those people who will get saved when this message is preached is simply too important, regardless of whether their number is great and small in any given locality. We must not allow ourselves to be discouraged when the message isn’t very welcome. We who live and minister in areas where the “dry wood” is scarce however need to seek to Lord for wisdom to make the best possible use of the precious small quantity of “dry wood” that is available here.
Your brother in the Lord, Norbert.

  18. Brother Andrew, Val is correct. God is causing a discontentedness in quite a few Christian hearts here in the US. I don’t know how many are hungering and grieving, only God does, but I believe this discontent is growing and will eventually manifest in another Great Awakening here and elsewhere.

Two years ago my husband, who for most of his life had ignored God, finally surrendered (like a mere child) his whole life to God. From that point on, our Lord caused John 17 (thank you Lord Jesus) to come alive in his heart and he has earnestly prayed for another Great Awakening (beginning in his own heart) ever since. God put a strong desire for another Great Awakening in our hearts, not man, and He Who is calling all of us will also be faithful to bring it to pass.

There are others. Slowly, I hear of more folks longing for more of God. The common thread? Praying, always praying with frustrated hungry hearts, grieving over our own sins, our own arrogance, our own complacency towards our Living God and begging Him to forgive us all and rend the Heavens and come down.

This is the Lord’s doing. He will have His own glory.

  19. Ali,
Wet wood doesn’t a fire kindle? Elijah might have something to say about that. 😉

  20. christine Aug 12th 2013

With God ALL things ARE possible.

    He hasn’t forgotten the USA.

There are some, a remnant, that belong to Him and seek Him with all diligence. There is a remnant praying for true repentance and revival.

They, WE……….are believing and walking and praying in FAITH!

  21. May God bless you Andrew and your precious family. I am now 81 years old and have served my Lord for 43 years. Sometimes I think I have seen it all. I certainly recognize the apostacy in our beloved America. My son pastors a church still preaching the cross, the blood, you must be born again. People still being saved, healed, and delivered. God has His remnant. We must continue to labor while it is still day. Jesus loves us so very much.

  22. I do know people Andrew but not tons to be sure. I am seeing people though that were very casual about God becoming more serious, turning back to scripture, seeking Him more. A real word from God would be hard for people to take, yes, because of what has been done to the church or what the church has done to itself. But things ARE changing….and believe me I have been tearing my hair out for YEARS here! 🙂 Thank God there is still a people to be found that longs for Him and knows a true move of the Spirit…Bless you!

  23. This spirit of repentance and revival in Romania and Africa as opposed to the apathy in America and other parts of the West is just one of many signs that the West is still asleep when it comes to seeing that Christ’s return to reign as King of kings is coming very soon, and His Bride needs to get ready.

Yet there are also many unconfirmed reports in the West that many people with a Christian background are mourning their loss of religious freedom and the coming Police State. Even so, I’m afraid that there is very little time left for a revival of any significance in the West before the Rapture.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Rapture and Sudden Destruction are coming before the second of the Four Blood Moons of the Tetrad on Jewish Feasts in 2014 and 2015. After the Rapture, there could very well be a short lived revival before believers are rounded up to be killed. But it won’t be a joyful time by any means, unless you think that the Christians being thrown to the lions in ancient Rome saw this as a joyful experience.

I am sure that the believers of the 1st Century did not see joy in martyrdom, though many were glad to be counted worthy to suffer like Christ did for the sake of the Gospel. Many of them also bravely faced their fate with the belief that God would take their spirits out of their bodies before they experienced much pain. This is, after all, what God did for Stephen, who was the first Christian martyr recorded about in the Bible’s Book of Acts.

  24. it is so sad that people would suffer or die to bring the word to countries and others would suffer or die to go to church but at so many churches here in the USA people will only go to church on THEIR terms. will there be coffee shops in heaven? if not will some persons be willing to go there? I see people coming to church dressed like they were going to a beach party or picnic ! others looking like they came ( just as you are ) straight from doing yard work or wood cutting ! I know some folks will say that does not matter…but, I would call that a matter of respect or reverence. would those same people go to a meeting with some of the big-wigs from the company they work for dressed like that, or come in carrying coffee, water bottles ,or in some cases treats ? I doubt it very much. so does the boss deserve more respect than GOD ? if so I guess that makes him # 1 in their lives ? I also see many people coming in to church late, even at later services ( 10:30 am ). again, do these same souls treat the job like so ? or standing in the aisle talking ….sometimes even when a prayer is being said…..maybe they didn’t know what the pastor was …blabbing about now ?then we have the rubbing and hugging. it is nice to love the person your with …but the church is not a movie house yet ! and the girls seem worse about that ordeal ! sometime I think I should just wear a blinder over my eyes while at church, I do not look for this stuff….it just happens all around us !

  25. Hi Andrew,

“As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man.” (8 souls) What can we expect?

Renee I agree with you, about a Great Awakening
God has many people who He has called away and they listened, others haven’t , but God can do one amazing thing to show who He is and the whole body will fall down and worship!!! One thing, like He did with Elisha!!
This time He will do something and all eyes are going to turn on HIM, not sure what but God is about to move in a mighty wave!!!! Well most are calling it a wave, I really don’t care what they call it but this I know .
Stand still and see the salvation of our GOD!!!! amen

  27. Awesome my dear brother was praying for your trip my good friend jerad Worby has been there for years. He got saved in June of 72 in the Christ is the Answer tent in Aurora, Illinois.

I first went to Romania and Moldova IN 1974 smuggling Bibles brother Jake Stimpson went on short tripwith me there and now he and his family have moved there. In the 1990’s we served with BH Clendenen ans the School of Christ in that part of the world.

Much of the American Church is aseeker friendly, user friendly, Christ denying, Christ compromising immation church….Glad God used you and God gave them a heart to hear your message.

  28. Gloria Sis, AMEN!!

  29. Brother Andrew, thank you for being God feet and mouth piece, I know how you feel, it’s difficult to give heart piercing messages almost everywhere now even here in Haiti. I’m so glad to hear people are receptive in Romania, praying for the church to be perfected in Christ and for the many who still need Christ to come to repentance and salvation. How encouraging!

  30. Connie Aug 12th 2013

I suppose that I am so used to how it is in my church and where I have been. I am not real awae of the things you describe, unless some people telling it, like you.

I was a missionary in the Philippines for 12 years, ending in 2003, and there was the same hunger. My church in Roseville, CA is also hungry for the Holy Spirit, hungry for revival–the true revival. We are repenting, crying out for the Holy Spirit, for revival, and a lot of prayer times at our church. So we are not totally off the mark, and yet, I know inside of me that there is still such a need for more. This only drives me to more prayer. Thank you for posting your report.
    God BLESs you!

  31. Bob Lucas Aug 12th 2013

A week ago the BBC News website did an article about the churches in Romania building 3 -5 new church buildings per week. The writer stated that the Orthodox Church and the politicians were in league to share the funding and it was a vicious circle. The writer zoomed in on the new cathedral being built in Bucharest – cost – name your price the church is paying nothing – its slapping the back of the politician who will be able to get them most bricks.. So where is the spirituality here Andrew?

  32. Arthur Reece is right. The bible is right.

As in the days of Noah so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son on Man. (8 souls)
The great falling away is here, not a great awakening.

  33. Averyl Aug 12th 2013

The church buildings, one on every corner, lack of unity, – maybe this is what stops revival.
Where do the repentant & saved ones go for fellowship?
We don’t get true fellowship in church buildings but where 2 or 3 meet together in His name.
The great falling away, just a remnant.

    Renee & Helena, – Amen!

  34. Don’t give up yet. The remnant in America is praying for revival.

  35. DonaldN Aug 12th 2013

A short study of Martin Luther, his 95 theses, his letter to the Archbishop of Mainz, reveals how the first reformation began. This current reformation will be similar. It is the out of church, wilderness wanderers that will soon come together to reform true worship and reestablish the body of Christ. This is the remnant. The established church will excommunicate any who agree with us.
There is hope for the USA. I am sure of it because I am one who desires God. I know there are many more, even in the established churches. Many just don’t have anywhere else to go, or have not yet heard the truth. When the truth gets out there, many will run to it, many will reject it. Much the same as in the first reformation. It did not end the Roman Catholic Church. It just began a new group of believers.
I am honored to be part of the 21st Century Reformation.

  36. Bro Ian Aug 13th 2013

Brother Andrew, – thank you so very much.

”NIB” – know exactly what you mean and it was so encouraging to hear of another servant of our Lord and His Church experiencing it.

God bless Romania and our family there for their spiritual hunger for the Truth.

God bless you and yours. Shalom!

  37. It’s great that this has been encouraging for you. You may feel like an outcast but I believe there are many individuals (in the west) who believe as you do and would love to hear that kind of preaching & also want a true revival here – but where do we go??? we don’t because the churches here aren’t like that. It’s very disheartening but you encourage us when you can tell us of such visits. Thank you.

    Jo, Auckland, NZ

  38. Brother Andrew, Thank you for printing the article. It was very encouraging yet so sad that the west is missing out on the greatest gift given to man, truth. I have had a burden for the church ever since I consecrated my life to the Lord’s service but I have found that the message of death to self is lost. Being a “Christian” is like joining a club for most. There’s no desire to become a disciple because it is costly and painful. The west has been too blessed and is living off the blessings and has a religion based upon the blessings rather than sacrifice of self. Jesus said that if anyone desires to follow him and be his disciple one must first deny self, then pick up his cross then follow. This is not a feel good message so it’s not preached to the piercing of the heart. Where is the desire of discipleship? Unfortunately there are more Judas’ in the body than Pauls’. My heart continues to weep for this condition because many will hear “depart I never knew you”.

  39. The scriptures have already foretold exactly what’s going to happen, there WILL be a revival! Have faith people of God, and believe His word!

    Revelation 7:9-17

“After these things I looked, and behold, a GREAT MULTITUDE which no one could number, OF ALL NATIONS, TRIBES, PEOPLES, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

    Daniel 11:32

“Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”

    Hi Jo of Auckland.

If you wish, please send a short email to [email protected] on this thread.

As usual on Andrew’s forum : so much to inform, chew over, and motivate.
Thanks for sharing from your heart, as usual, Andrew.

  41. Pilgrim Aug 13th 2013

It sad that the West has become so bound by tradition. (The very thing Jesus warned against.) We (generalising) render the Word of God as nothing by following the traditions of men instead!. You see that in every church to some degree . Some worse that others. However there is a remnant , even as Elijah found , who remain faithful to God’s Word.Nevertheless, it is God’s ‘rhema’ word to me that we will see revival, all over the world.( I believe it will be the final ingathering, judging by the signs of the times.) Like Andrew, I reject the claims of revival we have heard, oft-repeated, in recent years. They are of a strange spirit and merely muddy the waters. Many have told me that revival cannot happen because we are undeserving and not ready. Therefore, or thereby, they try to make up rules which God must follow, as if they know it all? All I know is that God said it and therefore it will surely happen, and so, I wait for it, with confidence and anticipation, because GOD SAID IT.

  42. Never understimate my God! I’m often shown the kindling wood, the silent praying people, the people with their eyes, ears & hearts open. We are out here, the living church & He hears our prayers.

  43. ‘underestimate’

  44. Thanks, Bro. Andrew for the Romania report. I sense though, that an evangelist’s job can be very trying, and frustration and defeat feelings must set in after ministering and preaching. Please know that you are in my prayers.

I don’t know whether it’s just me and I feel like the Hebrew spies who came back with a bad report, but the idea of a revival right now in the society I live in, seems almost impossible. I know God can do the impossible, but it seems that spiritual revival will only happen in the event of natural disasters or catastrophic events. No one seems to have the energy anymore, in my corner of the world. No one is ‘on fire’. Is this a spirit of defeat that just hit me or are others feeling it?

Fatigue, lack of energy, optimism, fear, uncertainty, feelings of abandonment, loneliness, a sense of foreboding that no one loves or fears God anymore. I am so thankful for Brad V’s post, itt gives me renewed hope.

I thank all those in the Body of Christ who have the discipline and conviction and tenacity to keep praying and make the sacrifice of going abroad and preaching – without them, like Bro. Andrew and others, the Body would be hungry and thirsty. But, here in the West, I am very hungry. There are few witnesses who don’t just speak the Word, but who act the Word. While preaching is desperately needed, the Body of Christ is rarely acting like Ambassadors of Christ and showing the good fruit of the Spirit, as they are all scattered and pastors of flocks of their own churches run to and fro. No one stays in one place anymore, the populace is constantly moving. We can’t be like the Acts church, because certain christians seems to be everywhere but home.

I don’t know what the answers are and maybe it’s too late, but we’ve lost something and I don’t know how to recognize what that is. The greater the world’s distractions are, the more lost the church gets in the overgrown weeds. The weeds are so plentiful that the church can hardly breathe.

I know that people don’t want to hear this, but the idols in Canada and the U.S.? Pets. The increasing obsession with pampering pets, and putting them up in ‘pet’ hotels and pet spas, and pet furniture stores and pet daycare and pet psychologists is not something that Jesus would look kindly on when he returns. An apostolic church is in the business of men’s souls. Another idol that has gotten out of hand? Communication technology, like I-pads, I-phones, blackberries, texting, facebooking, tweeting. This practice is beyond just being friendly. It’s obsession of self and all things ‘self’. Look at me in this pose, listen to what I’m thinking right now, read what I have to say about this issue in limited characters; it’s a tragic narcissistic generation that wants constant attention on self, tending 100% attention on a tiny screen with head down, ignoring people who walk by, who may be in need. I my neighbors need the Lord, they don’t show it, while walking their two or three dogs with music ear-pods in their ears. No one looks up and acknowledges anyone anymore, they are glued to a little square idol with a screen. How can we reach people who have their heads and eyes constantly fixated on a thing? Their minds are seared from reality, and they desire the need to always be superficially made aware of. The only hunger it appears people have is the hunger for attention to themselves. Like they are little gods.

Please don’t get discouraged reading my post. I’ll get out of my funk and praise the Lord anyway. At least He never changes and never forsakes us.

  45. Pastor Len Lipcsik

    Amen and Amen!

  46. Wow, brilliant thread!
Am loving the depth of insight and HEART in all of your comments.
    We all care soo much.

What I am to say may sound like running with the hares and hunting with the hounds.
    I believe we’re all correct.

Yes, we are heading into an age of apostasy, and YES, at the same time, an incredible opportunity for God to do a good work, an amazing thing.

Here in New Zealand, I see much hardness of heart, and or apathy, and or resistance to the things of God.
At the same time I’m also seeing an almost desperate hunger for truth.

So I will continue to join with the family of God in praying so that the tipping point for revival may be reached.

I do hear Andrew’s comments questioning if we will ever repent, I am personally keeping in mind the lack of repentance etc after the Christchurch earthquake, and yet I will continue to pray and hope for God to do HIS thing here in NZ.

Let’s be encouraged to continue the good fight of faith regardless of where we are, and to be faithful to what God has called each of us to do,

Thank you to you all for all your comments, so encouraging.

  47. Andrew, I am a soldier of Jesus Christ while also a Qantas flight attendant, SS teacher and once a month lay preacher. I preach/teach the Words of Jesus boldly and the local minister and father of 2 girls in my SS class wants me out! (“You need more wisdom”.) When in love I point out the lack of obedience to the commandments of Jesus in our church community (as in James 5 v19,20) I am labelled by this minister “a pharisee”. Strangely where I preach once a month to a small gathering in the city – they thank me for the challenging message and invite me back next month (so far) and I praise God for that. But I recognise the same resistance to forthright expression of the Words of Jesus almost everywhere. Its disgusting!

The parable of the great supper in Luke chapter 14 reveals Christianity is more than just avoiding the “sinful”. In the parable the first said “I have bought a piece of ground and I must need go and see it?” is that a sin to buy a ground, is it not his right to go and see it? The second said “I have bought five yoke of oxen and I go to prove them? is this not his right too , is it a sin to go and test his new oxen to see if they are good ? and the other said “I have marry a wife and I cannot come “ is that a sin ,does not the law even said new couple to spend at least a year together ? Personally I believe our problems is we know so much of our freedom as Christians and we are doing what apostle Paul calls using our liberty for spiritual laziness and irresponsibility. Yes we know it is all grace not fasting so we become gluttonous forgetting about the Lord of grace who fasted 40 days without food, not prayer so we live a prayerless Christianity, not even Faith like the birds of the air , so we have to make sure we cumbered about our tomorrow and do all things today with strictness to make sure we and our children survive tomorrow. It is all about our rights . In our hearts we faced our God with our rights . We say “yes God I am just doing what I should do with my own . It is not a sinful act. Have I not the right to enjoy to enjoy that which you have given me “ . The parable of the great super reveals that if we our concern about our joy, ease and right we shall not be part of the great supper. The moment we surrender to Christ He will start dealing with our rights, time, and the things we should rightly enjoy.

Yes I agree with you that it is a sad day indeed, and it is like that all over the world, here in South Africa too. People hate Holy Spirit Word inspired messages, especially if they contain warnings against sin and the consequences. NIB as you call it Andrew is at the order of the day here too, when you dare to deliver the message that God has given you. However, thank God for the openness in Romania and that people are welcoming Holy Spirit messages. I haven’t been to Romania, but love the country just by looking at pictures of it. May the Lord do mighty things through your ministry in Romania and a great harvest of souls be reaped for His kingdom. God bless you!

A Russian man of God came to a church I occassionally attended many years ago. He prayed earnestly before attending this somewhat big church…a four square church…but not a wildly gobblygook congregation. He told them that he prayed to God, asking Him, what he should say. He told us that God said “Americans must learn to die to themselves.” AMEN!

Any nation that prospers loses sight of YHWH…because they rely on themselves and their prosperity and vision. They lean on their own standards. There has not been one nation on this earth ruled by man that has succeeded…..they all have failed and will fail. The only Kingdom that is lasting is YHWH’s. All within His Kingdom acknowledge and agree with His Will, His standards, to their very core. If they do not….they will be cast out.

When any nation or man starts to see “power” and “glory” in themselves….they are surely lost. May His Kingdom soon come.

The only thing man is capable of doing (and has been charged to do) is sharing/teaching YHWH’s Will and His Plan through His Son…as did Andrew in Romania. That is what we must continue to do unto the end….no matter how difficult it becomes. YHWH will do the choosing after the message is given.

Andrew….I just listened to your preaching videos, and if that is a sampling of how you preach….excellant….good job!

Keeping all YHWH’s servants in my prayers…….

  51. To some degree it is true, many in America have gone so far from God that they no longer have an ear to hear. But there is a stirring taking place in the hearts of those who have been seeking the Lord. There is a return taking place and as they respond God is healing and reviving. Watch this powerful video about revival:

  52. L. Alex Smith Aug 13th 2013

“Many are called, but few are chosen.” A ripe verse for Calvinism only? Follow it up with, “Make your calling and election (Choosing) sure.” or how about, “…with lying signs and wonders that would deceive, if it were possible, the very elect (the chosen).”
God chooses; we also choose. In what priority are the choices which we make?
There is a righteous remnant; there is a growing apostasy.
There will be a great harvest of souls; there will be a Falling Away.
There will be “wise virgins” with “oil in their lamps”– who awake out of deep slumber.
There will be “foolish virgins” who once HAD “oil in their lamps”–who awake out of deep slumber, but haven’t prepared spiritually, even though they will be “awake”.
Then there is the Bride– Matthew 25:1 (NOT KJV) but Syriac, Coptic, and Latin texts read, “…who went forth to meet the Bridegroom AND THE BRIDE.”
In which group will you choose to be…it’s up to you to pursue avidly that deep relationship with the Lord.
There was a post in this site a while ago, called “The Commando Army” by Ron MacKenzie; a couple years ago there was one called, “The Bride is Leaving Christendom” by Wayne Thomas.
The Revelation 12 imagery of the Woman representing the visible, saved Church– though NOT mature, bearing forth a Fully-Grown son, a male is another picture that “The Commando Army” describes– “The Bride is leaving..” fits with Matthew 25…
God’s call is being heard by those who hunger for Him.
“Blessed are those who Hunger and Thirst for righteousness– for THEY shall be filled.”
Groaning hunger….burning thirst… God will give you what you really want.
“Blessed are the Pure in Heart–for THEY shall see God.”
SEE– Greek, Optomai: to gaze upon with wide-open eyes, as beholding something with great amazement.
Is this your desire for God? To gaze upon Him with “wide-open eyes”?
In the Old Covenant, Moses desired to “see God”. God YHWH told him, “No man can look upon Me and live. But hide here in the Cleft of the Rock, and I will pass by– only, you will see My ‘after-effects’…” (Like a wake of a fast boat on the water, or better, the intense roar of a jet fighter following after the plane has passed, if you’ve ever seen that at an air-show).
Unlike Moses, in the NEW Covenant, we CAN gaze upon Him, and come boldly before the Throne of Grace…if we will press in to His presence in prayer, confession, and repentance, always dependent on the Blood of the Lamb, Revel. 12:10-11. Amen.

I’ve been in Africa for about a year now. There nothing like preaching the word here…hearts are so open. It’s hard to even go back to America where there seems to be a famine of hearing the word off the Lord. Spent many years in pastoral ministry. And truthfully didn’t want to hear the Lord call me into full time mission work. But oh how I love the African people and wish I would have entered the field long before now. The fields are truly white for harvest.

  55. Seems to me like the harder, darker, and more hopeless the situation is in any country the more the Gospel is welcomed. The reason why in my opinion is because once they lose hope in their own mighty man made country and government to take care of them. They have to turn to God then out of desperateness. This striping away of our false security in our country is coming to us in America and we too will be humbled like the Romanian’s or any other country who puts there security in their mighty man made governments, mighty militaries and prosperous lands they made them selves with out God. I don’t believe God has forgotten America and its people. I believe she will be spiritually great again maybe not materially great or military great or financially great anymore, but she will be spiritually great again but not till she has gone through the fire that is coming. She will be humbled because she would not humble her self. I believe this is when America will be spiritually great again.

  56. Dora Williams Aug 14th 2013

    Dearest Brother Andrew,
I have gleaned so much by many things on your web site and appreciate you so much!
I do want to say that here in America, we have sinned greatly, to put it mildly. We have a corporation for profit, as a government that has enslaved the people…first spiritually, and then physically, with tremendous debt and immorality. It used to be a Republic, but satan sneaked in and now we have a democracy (all unlawful). BUT, God is stirring groups of people…a few here and a few there…I know of a few prayer groups that meet often and are fasting, praying and repenting, and binding the wicked spirits and principalities over America. Praying that the media will tell the truth, and all the lies will be exposed. The church here, who has been under the 501 (c)3 clause has actually been under an anti-christ spirit, and has not been allowed to tell the truth, and preach the true gospel. We are repenting for the sins of the people, and of our leadership, and praying for the real Republic to be restored. We have been in a bondage that many of us didn’t realize we were in, but are now waking up to! I don’t know what will happen, but those of us waking up, are trying to do our part to warn, and set the standard of God up high, and to pray much. Please continue to pray with us, as we also pray for God’s people everywhere and for the world. Thank you so much!

  57. Love to read everyone’s comments here and I’m rejoicing that everyone seems to have a sincere heart to see the Lord’s Body all want to help bring about God’s will.

I wonder, though, if the Church should even be concerned about nations. We all come from different nations and traditions and all have been influenced by our surroundings and culture and heritage. But should we be concerned about our political heritage? I’m not sure if being a ‘patriotic national’ should be our first priority, or even should be a priority at all. Shouldn’t we be only concerned about the family of God, and work from there?

If we measure ourselves by what our ancestors did, or how they created a new republic, or a new dominion or British Commonwealth country, or a colony, then aren’t we putting the world on an equal fitting with the family of God? Shouldn’t we put away the old practice of trying to change philosophies by yoking with the ways of the world and with politicians?

Maybe sometimes national pride has a down side to it, in that it becomes the focus of the christian’s life, or it’s tied in with the christian’s belief that his country is more spiritually blessed than another nation. What if a nation is more spiritually blessed than another nation? Is that a good thing for the Body of Christ around the world? Or is that expressing personal patriotic pride, which shouldn’t have any place in a christian’s life. Wouldn’t that be comparing oneself with other christians who may live in rogue nations? Do those in rogue nations mean less to God because they live there?

If my brethren live in a spiritually strong nation, does that mean me and my people (who live elsewhere) are not as worthy in the Body of Christ, because our national heritage didn’t dedicate the land to the God of the Bible?

I think the repentence we all need to do, is to repent from comparing one another and putting a marker on one’s place of birth, as in “I’m a great exceptional American christian” and “you are a plain old christian”. I find sometimes it comes across as that. The bible commands us not to compare ourselves to others, and give the impression that their that ‘heritage’ has more noble and purer motives than another’s heritage. I don’t think any christian should be concerned about our one’s heritage returning to spiritual greatness, as the world is not our home. Jesus is GREAT. Returning to JESUS glorifies Him and no other; no man or nation should ever take any glory for himself or itself.

If we talk about repentence for our nation, can we really repent for others who wish not to repent? Is this the call on our lives? Can we do this now in this new dispensation? I know we can fast and pray for souls and for those where an evangelist will minister to, but can we really take on fasting and prayer for those who have already rejected Christ? And what would our motive be to do that? How do we know who’s heart is right with God? Shouldn’t we repent for our own sins? If we speak about repenting on behalf of other’s sins, we don’t have that power, and it dissolves grace; rather it becomes like a Catholic indulgence, where a person can burn a candle for the redemption of the lost.

I’m sorry I hope I don’t offend anyone. But, as an unchurched christian, I am asking these questions seriously, and wonder if the unseen church of Christ has been ordained to be so (unseen) so that no man can glory in his flesh and call out his territory as the greatest spiritually.

IDOLS! IDOLATRY is behind the coldness of heart and the dullness of mind.
Combine that with DENIAL and you have the PERFECT STORM.

  59. Averyl Aug 14th 2013

Andrew, – You have obeyed God & done your part, so don’t worry about being NIB.

Remember that one sows, another waters etc.!

  60. Marilyn Crow Aug 14th 2013

So good to hear Andrew, of other brothers & sisters in Christ receiving the message of God through you to repent & grow more Christ like. We are one Body, where ever we are on this planet & we rejoice with such good news which encourages all our hearts.

Good thoughts & so true. You addressed those misunderstandings & errors very well with such a humble heart. Well done & good to read.

    Andrew Strom said earlier –

`With God all things are possible.
But what is it going to take ……….`

I personally believe that in the next couple of years, especially in the West, the idol of `economic prosperity,` will be exposed. When the economy has had a series of collapses & the so called wealth has evaporated & people`s trust in man`s system of greed & debt is exposed then we will see many hearts challenged.

Some will become bitter & angry but many others will be broken & then humble themselves before God learning to trust Him daily & not man.

The Apostle James talks of this in James Ch. 5. Plus he encourages us to be patient & to strengthen our hearts, not complaining against each other. Very sobering exhortations.

To Andrew…` let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death…` Be blessed & encouraged for your work is not in vain in the Lord. (James 5: 20)

    God be praised, Marilyn.

Yes, you are correct in the fact that the Bible is true.
However, to apply the passage you refer to now, there are several things you would have to prove: (1) The return of Christ to set His kingdom is imminent; (2) Christ’s claim that those times will be similar to Noah refers to only a few being saved and NOT to the sinfulness and carrying-on of normal life; and (3) Which 8 people living today will be the ones who will be saved???

The Bible is true. However, right interpretation is equally important. There are assumptions you have made regarding this part of Scripture which do not line up with the other things Scripture says regarding Christ’s return – and they definitely don’t line up with reality (only 8 to be saved upon Christ’s return – really ?!?!?).

ANDREW, thank you, my brother, for encouraging us with your good report.

Perhaps, when North America comes to economic ruin and people have to live with the material depravation some of these former Communist countries have to live with, and the fallacy and emptiness of the false gospels become apparent, then we will have many who turn to Christ to find reality, true salvation, and a security which lasts beyond the things of this world.

May God continue to use you and bless you with all the riches found in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

  62. Noah and family (8 souls) are a “type” of Israel and those of them which will make it safely through the tribulation. Which does not literally mean 8 souls as you have rightly pointed out Pastor Wayne, due to other scriptures.

Zec 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

Zec 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

From the scriptures above we can plainly see that it is 1/3rd of Israel that is going to make it through the tribulation and be saved. As in all “remaining” Israel will be saved (Rom 11:26)

  63. Barry Schmidt Aug 14th 2013

As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore. So Jesus said to the twelve, “You do not want to go away also, do you?” Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. (John 6:66-68 NASB)

But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. (Matthew 24:13 NASB)

BUT LET’S NOT GET THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE- – We and our ” deep repentance ” our following Jesus “to the end” BY denying ourselves and taking up our cross daily IS THE CART-
Jesus grace through faith IS THE HORSE! The HORSE MUST come BEFORE the cart or we are into self effort salvation!!!!

While we are not saved BY following Jesus nor are we saved BY enduring with Him to the end– nor are we saved by our “deep repentance” – these are the RESULTS OF TRUE SALVATION eph 2:8-9 “For it is BY GRACE THAT YOU ARE SAVED THROUGH FAITH AND THIS NOT FROM YOURSELVES- SALVATION IS THE GIFT OF GOD NOT OF WORKS LESTANY MAN SHOULD BOAST.”

Preaching deep repentance WITHOUT preaching the gospel of faith IS A FALSE GOSPEL!
Be careful friends!!!! Read Gal 1: and fear!

  64. Barry Schmidt Aug 14th 2013

and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. (Luke 24:46, 47 NASB)

Notice in Jesus words that repentance AND forgiveness of sins WILL be preached IN HIS NAME. Jesus himself is declaring several irrefutable truths here but two are MOST OBVIOUS:
    1. Repentance CANNOT be separated from forgiveness of sins in true gospel preaching.
    2. Repentance AS WELL AS forgiveness of sins are ONLY accomplished “in His name” – Neither are by self will or by self effort. Both are a free gift by grace alone.
No one can be forgiven except in His name AND NOONE can repent EXCEPT IN HIS NAME!
We call people to repent ( change their minds about God, sin and how to be saved) BUT ONLY GOD CAN PRODUCE AND GRANT REPENTANCE.

When they heard this, they quieted down and glorified God, saying, “Well then, God has granted to the Gentiles also the repentance that leads to life.” (Acts 11:18 NASB)
Preaching repentance without preaching the gospel of forgiveness in His name is a false gospel.

  65. Barry Schmidt Aug 14th 2013

with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. (2 Timothy 2:25, 26 NASB)
If repentance is a gift from God and that we are commanded to hope that God will grant repentance then prayer is THE GREATEST resource we have in our preaching.
If repentance is at the whim and will of men then WHY PRAY? Then forget about pleading with God in prayer for men and go instead and plead with men.

  66. Barry Schmidt Aug 14th 2013

    “what will it take?”
What saith the Scriptures about that question?

It will take Godin answer to prayer!
    “Salvation is of the LORD.”
“If My people WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME will humble themselves and pray…. Then I will hear from heaven and….. ” II CHRON 7:14

  67. Gary Gorham Aug 14th 2013

Brethren do not awaken My Beloved until she desires. He gives to His Beloved in her sleep. In one day She shall arise and shine in the glory of Her King. Then She will sit upon Her husbands throne as He sits upon their Fathers throne and She shall judge angels. However before that day much must be accomplished. The man of sin is being revealed since He who restrains was removed 21 years ago. The repentance of the church is beginning, acknowledging their breaking of the same covenant that Adam broke, starting to understand that you do not look for the tree of life in the tree of death. Some of the illegitimate ones are seeking adoption through the baptism in the Spirit so they may enter into the Kingdom and thereby rest. Yet there is not much preaching where Mary is spoken of as Yashua said her sacrifice would accompany the gospel. Because there is no King you have no vision and everyone does that which is right in his own eyes. We certainly have become Laodicea a people of our own opinions. Do you not know that our presence in heaven is essential to the cleansing of the alter and to the ejection of Satan to the earth so the Bride can be made ready for Her King. Consider your ways for the House remains desolate and you are unaware. Set your minds on things above where Christ sits next to His Father and not on the things of earth. You have become so earthly minded your no heavenly good. Don’t you know who you are? You are sons and daughters of God, the one who raised Yashua from the dead dwells in you. For a purpose that you do not know. If you keep this life you will lose it but if you lose it for My sake you will find it to eternal life. This is more that denying self this is restitution Adam chose this world his flesh and self over God,this is us letting it all go for Him.

  68. Averyl Aug 14th 2013

Gary, – You say above that “He who restrains was removed 21 years ago”.
    Please explain.

  69. Lightning Storm Aug 14th 2013

Coldness and hardness, deception and delusion are rooted in IDOLATRY.

Those nations, states, cities, towns who do not have REVIVAL going on…….its because of IDOLATRY.
The 3rd World countries also have IDOLS, but it is evident to the people that their IDOLS and gODS HAVE FAILED THEM……..their idols and gods have no power to give them the “good” life and deliver them from diseases and destruction.

The Western world is ENSLAVED to its IDOLS and gods that have given them the desires of their hearts……WEALTH.
AT THE SAME TIME, they are being destroyed with disease, corruption, lawlessness, and the killing of future generations…….which all of these are bringing them back into poverty or worse.
Their gods have to power to deliver them from diseases and destruction either!

2Ki 17:32 NASB – They also FEARED the LORD and appointed from among themselves priests of the high places, who acted for them in the houses of the high places.

2Ki 17:33 NASB – They FEARED the LORD AND SERVED THEIR OWN gods according to the custom of the nations from among whom they had been carried away into exile.

2Ki 17:41 NASB – So while these nations feared the LORD, THEY ALSO SERVED THEIR IDOLS; their children likewise and their grandchildren, as their fathers did, so they do to this day.

  70. Lightning Storm Aug 14th 2013

Does the Western world have to sink TO A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY before they GIVE UP THEIR IDOLS AND gods???

  71. Lightning Storm Aug 14th 2013

The IDOLS AND gods of the Western World have NO POWER to deliver them from diseases and destruction anymore then the idols and gods of the 3rd World countries.

There was a study done about the wealth of the people of the globe.

In this study, they somehow figured out the wealth of the entire globe, then they divided that by the total population of the globe.

They discovered that anyone who either had $2,000 (or more) or owned $2,000 worth of property (or more) was WEALTHY!!
Because the majority of people on the globe had less than that amount.

  73. Lightning Storm Aug 14th 2013

Better go back and read those scriptures about the “RICH MAN”.

  74. Gary Gorham Aug 14th 2013

Averyl, On Feb 18th 1992 at nine oclock in the morning the Lord spoke to me and said “This is a day of holiness unto the Lord”, I didn’t know what to do so I got on my knees and waited. He said”This is the day I have withdrawn My presence from My church..” I said but Lord you said you would never leave us or forsake us. Nothing. I called my brother who I was working for at the time and told him. That night I went to prayer meeting at a presbyterian church and told them. The church was without a pastor as he had retired but his daughter who was there said but I thought he said He would never leave us or forsake us. Exactly what I said. A week later at two in the morning the Lord woke me up and said “where is that at?” I said where is what at? He said” That I would never leave you or forsake you?” I said Hebrews 13. He said “Where did it come from?” So its Kansas in Feb. I get up and get my blanket and Bible, I said Deut 31:6 He Said “Go there.” Sure enough it says I will never leave you or forsake you. He said “17” Verse 17 says Surely I will leave and forsake you. I looked up to 16 and it said because you have forsaken Me. At this time He had been dealing with me about Hosea 5 and how He said He had abandoned His people even though they sought Him. He said they had produced illigitimate children. At the end of the chapter He said “I will go away to My place and when they acknowledge their guilt they will seek Me in their affliction they will earnestly seek Me. So what did it mean I still had the Holy Spirit’s indwelling. For years I sought the Lord. Then I began to notice the vacum of leadership both in the church and in the world and after the election of Obama I understood that I was the head of the church that was gone away. Before the election there was a woman in Kansas City at a conference who had a dream or vision in which the Lord said America wants a King and I am going to give her one. she wants change more that she wants mercy. I didn’t see it as the one who restrains being taken out of the way until I read the piece by bro Soleyn posted on Storm Harvest and It clicked . Billy Graham said one time that if Christ ever left the church 95% wouldn’t know it. I personally thought that it would be a concious effort by believers to abandon the world system but I was wrong. All my life I have lived with the desire to see Yashua revealed in His people and God has encouraged me that this is His desire to see the seed that was planted bring forth fruit after its kind. Thats was He says you know time and again. There are verses in revelation that say this rejoice you who dwell in the heavens but woe to you who dwell upon the earth. Where are you dwelling are you serving the the alter or the house or the world?

LORD, My Father, My God, Who keeps His Words, Who shows mercy towards those who love Him and keep His commandments; We confess our sins and admit our unworthiness before you. All Correctness and Righteousness is Yours alone.

Acknowledging this, we still come to You and ask for Your mercy and for Your forgiveness because You alone are the Source of all things. Enable us to help You restore our nation and our laws unto You, LORD. Have mercy on us and turn us from our iniquities back to Your Truth. O LORD, according to all Your Righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from this our nation, founded by You in these latter times to be a Sanctuary for those seeking You. Do not let us be trodden down. Restore us to the purpose for which You created us…both as a people and as a nation. Have mercy on us for the sake of Your Name and those within our country who seek Your Will and desire Your Kingdom on earth above all else. Have mercy on us for Your Will’s sake alone, because we are not deserving, but rely totally on Your Mercy, LORD.

Hear our prayer, reaching out…..seeking Your Everlasting Sustaining Strong Hand. Forgive us Lord and supply what You know we need to overcome the situations we will find ourselves in so that we can endure until Your return. Grasp our outreached hand within Yours and restore us quickly before the dark consumes our land. Save us for Your purpose, and grow Your Truth in all peoples and nations, especially Israel. Pull us to our feet so that we can be a worthy friend of Israel in these latter times.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, Our Savior, and returning King of Kings, we, who have the testimony of Jesus Christ, Your Son, ask of You these things; giving You all of the love within our hearts. Thank You, Father.

Gary, – you say that you understood that you were head of the church that was gone away.

This does not make sense to me.

  78. Terry E Aug 14th 2013

Don’t write us all off Andrew. God is in process of raising up a holy remnant in the power of “John the Baptist” infused with Joshua & David. There is a spark of hope in the western church which will be refined by fire. Wait for it.

  79. Gary Gorham Aug 14th 2013

Averyl Jesus or Yashua is the head of the church and He has withdrawn and returned to His place ,therefore we are without the headship the reason we lack vision, without a vision the people are unrestrained. Not only that but we are the restraining force through the Holy Spirit whose temple we are. therefore the whole world is without leadership. While the comfortor is still helping us directing us to Jesus we do lack understanding of the things that God is about without the direction from the head.

I just wish I could find a church here in Sacramento, CA that teaches scripture and not the “ask Jesus into your heart” junk being shoved down the troat of ever available seven year old. G-d please bring revival to the USA!

Andrew…I’m glad you were encouraged and refreshed by what you saw in Romania. It is sad that so many Pastors can’t endure sound doctrine and close the door to it, and prevent those who might enter, just like in Jesus day………this is not business as usual in the church any more, that’s for sure. All we can do is seek the Lord to understand what He is doing and what the scriptures say concerning these days. And resist the temptation to go by the light of our own fires…trusting that He will lead us through the darkness, amen.

Gary Goreham….sobering words my brother. You are speaking to a so many things that I have been thinking upon recently. And so we are like scattered sheep without a shepherd in these days, oppressed for the lack of a shepherd. The only thing I might say is that a day to the Lord can mean a season of time, so it might be that the restrainer is being taken away gradually over a period of time. Either way, these are dark days wherein much patience is needed. I was yesterday reflecting on the Israelites losing their way spiritually on their wilderness trek and beginning to depend on a false god because Moses (type of Christ) was taking a long time to return, now I understand this pitfall and how it applies to these days, thank you Father……..oh give us grace to overcome please Jesus. Because grace is not freedom to sin and have idols, oh surely not, but it is the power to overcome. Bless you Gary.

Why is condemnation (death) the last enemy that is destroyed…? I don’t know, but just guessing it has something to do with pride and self. We condemn not only others but ourselves too, forgive me/us Lord. There is something in that when condemnation is overcome we return to the Lord and abide in His grace, anyone else notice that? 🙂 Oh praise Him for His goodness when we know we least deserve it!

(Hit and run comment, I’m off to work.)

An unfaithful wife will take an advantage of a forgiving husband. Her ruin begins when she knows the heart of her husband. It begins the days she know the secret which is , the husband is always ready to forgive her no matter how much she cheated her with other men, as long as she return back to him . A faithful wife that Loves her husband will not take advantage of this secret . Though she may fall in cheating her Husband in some seasons yet the root cause of her fall is not based on the knowledge of knowing the secret of her husband heart , but some other issues or weaknesses. She is not satisfy to know that Her husband has forgiven Her but How much She pleases Her Husband. The unfaithful wife does not care about pleasing her Husband but How much her husband pleases her. So when she know the free gift from her husband that pleases her , she takes advantage of it , and lives all her lives around such advantages.
To this Apostle paul wrote ” All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.(1Corin.6v12). As a faithful wife , apostle paul with all this knowledge says “He fast often…. and prayed unceasingly….. “and spoke of Good works.Yes the knowledge her freedom in Christ never destroyed Him , nor made him cold or irresponsible. That is the heart of a faithful wife.
Knowledge will either serve as a means to save us or destroy us even if it comes from heaven.

  85. Sadly it is true any country that is poorer usually is excelling more in faith towards God. The Underground churches in Iran, North Korea and China are great examples to us also.

  86. The happier relationships are the happier you are. Man is a social animal whether you like it or not.

Relationships either revolve around dominion or they revolve around love. If you are into the occult they revolve around dominion. Power over and control of. If you have the love of The Lord for each other your relationships are a lot healthier and a lot more intimate. You care about each others feelings and morale and you minister to these things.

Happy relationships are one of the treasures in The Lord’s heart too. Relationships where people are close to one another and nurture each other. And have a similar fellowship with God. That is why Christ’s ministry on Earth was a ministry of reconciliation of mans’ intimate relationship with God through repentance of sins for the remission of sins, and calling us to holiness and learning God’s ways.

If you are interested in finding favour with God, helping God get lots of happy new relationships is one of the ways of doing it. Especially your own relationship and fellowship with The Lord.

I believe that this is what the next great awakening is going to be like too. God’s people will be know for their love for one another and it will show in the way they treat each other. People will see it in their relationships. Sinners will see what holy relationships look like and how much more fun they are compared to theirs.

Everyone’s revival theories seem to revolve around doing something that God likes to get God to respond because of His happiness with a revival. I reckon that is what God is waiting for too.

So it seems to me that God’s happiness is really important and without it God will not give the community or the nations a revival. I also think that God wants a revival that brings people back to the love of The Lord and fellowship with Him and each other a lot.

It says in scripture somewhere that The Lord finds no pleasure in the judgement of the world for its sins. He would rather have a reconciliation, and that’s why Christ’s ministry was about reconciliation through repentance of sins for the remission of sins. Judgement of sins is about justice tempered with mercy and love, not God’s happiness.

But Christians do not want the kind of awakening that God wants. They are looking for a way to get a river of living water flowing into their Christian covens. These days going to church is like going to a séance and not being told it is a séance. With everyone into the occult and bashing the children of the light for their sins.

On the bright side, God has mentioned a spiritual hospital, with miracle healings as the future.

Gary Gorham….Yeshua, YHWH…..have not removed themselves yet from mankind. YHWH stated to Noah (and HE never breaks His promises) that HE would strive with mankind for 120 Jubilees….which is 6,000 years. The 6,000 years are not up yet.

YHWH assured that His Word would be recorded and last through the ages. Why? So that we would not be deceived by the whisperings of others.

  88. Claudia Aug 16th 2013

Paulette C; Please…..if you find one….let this list know. My daughter-in-law is seeking one also and she is very near there.

  89. Claudia Aug 16th 2013

Watchful; it seems to me that “death” (condemnation through satan) is the last destroyed….because satan’s condemnation and attempts are not over until the end of the Mellinnium, when the last of God’s children are tested. Than, death is destroyed forever, because from that point onward…..all are restored.

Those who knowingly or ignorantly follow satan, display his attributes in their minds, and by the actions of their hands.

  90. watchful Aug 18th 2013

Hi Claudia, I was just speaking in terms of a personal application of the scripture, His word being a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I also do believe there are the broader historical or corporate applications of it as well.

Haven, I just want to mention that you touched on some things in a relationship with someone I just spent the day visiting with, and which has features of some of the very things you were speaking of….your post was timely.

  91. Mrs Dean Aug 19th 2013

Because of NIB people like myself who would love to hear you all the time must suffer the consequences , but most importantly, those who would repent and those who would be saved suffer. I make no mistake Gods will will be done, but dismissing the Holy Spirit’s working is shameful. May our country repent turn from her wicked ways, seek God. Amen

  92. Mrs Dean Aug 19th 2013

Brother Andrew, you are an outcast, just like our Lord Jesus was while here on earth. much love from a fellow outcast
