AN UNUSUAL WORD! – Comments?

-extracts by David Wilkerson

Recently the Holy Spirit gave me an unusual word, one that I did not want to hear! He said, “You are bound to a very limited vision of the Lord’s ocean of tender, loving mercies. You have endured much guilt, condemnation and fear because you have not allowed the Holy Spirit to reveal the vastness of My forgiving, healing, reconciling mercies. You do not know Me for My tenderness!”

God showed me that this is a root cause for many giving up and
falling away. When sin strikes—when Satan comes in like a flood,
when you fall into some old habit or sin—the devil creates a
bondage. First, the guilt comes flooding in, then fear fills your
heart. A sense of total failure and helplessness overwhelms your
soul. At this point, most believers run out of grace—because
their view of God’s mercy is so limited.

The devil does not want you to see God’s ocean of mercy; he
wants you to see only a trickle! Because of our ignorance of the
forgiving, restoring power of Christ’s love, we are destroyed. We
run out of mercy for ourselves because we are horribly bound
by a limited vision. Our eyes have not yet been opened to the
endless mercies of our tender Father! We are so bound by a
false, limited view of His mercies, we find it almost impossible
to believe or accept what James said: “[We] have seen the end
of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful (full of compassion), and
of tender mercy” (James 5:11).

This verse means, “God is easily crushed by our troubles and
hurts. He feels our pain and our failures, and He is kind and
compassionate to us. He loved us even when we were His
enemy. Even when we offend Him, He is quick to help, restore
and forgive us.”

I am really blessed by this article and the truths revealed are most precious. I will not be subject to the devils condemnation any longer.

he made it plain and simple when he said
he would leave us who were in the sheep pen and go looking for the one who had strayed away

Good word, unfortunately many call this extreme grace, or hyper-grace. Some go as far to proclaim that this kind of talk produces a license to sin. I call it a Father who truly loves us. A Son who is familiar with our struggle in these earth suits. A Holy Spirit who not only convicts of sin but probably more needful to many is convincing us of righteousness, His righteousness that He has bestowed on us and in us through Jesus Christ.

Whooooeee! These have been some particularly great topics for discussing and seeking and searching the scriptures lately Andrew…fasten our seatbelts, the conversation might get very lively!

  5. Being discouraged, or guilt ridden when you sin, means you have still not accepted the fact we are SINNERS saved by GRACE. That does not change because you have now come to know the Truth of the LORD.
When I sin, and I do, I simply smile and acknowledge the fact the the old Jim still lives, and it is still I who lives and not Christ.
HE is being formed in me, but there is still Me in Me.
    The simple Gospel:
We suck ……. HE saved us ……… case closed.
The devil will come to condemn you when you sin alright, and if you are a Christian, he will come via the first self-appointed preacher/teacher/church leader you run into.
When you do, just run away and embrace Him.

  6. If God were not this merciful, I doubt any of us would survive. Still, the key here is repentance. If we’re not repenting, we can’t be forgiven. Too many times those who consider themselves saved also consider themselves not guilty and, therefore, see no need for repentance. God sees the heart. If truly repentant, no matter how many times we have sinned, He rises to show us compassion (borrowed from Isa 30:18). However, if we are so arrogant as to reject His admonition out-of-hand, then neither forgiveness or compassion is available to us.

Extreme grace what does that really mean?

That God at a certain point cuts off His creation? I think that intersection (crossroad) is where he stretched out His arms and set His feet on a place called Golgatha/Calvary.

Are there limits then to His mercy, his forgiveness, or perhaps are we simply limited in our capacity to forgive or be in control? We are the ones who promote or set limits on one another? We certainly do cordant ourselves off each to his own denomination or (strain) belief system. Could it be we are the ones who decide who can and who cannot be forgiven according to our own shortcomings/limitations.

I think our capacity to forgive ends where where we are actually unable to overcome sin in are own lives. Often what we see or judge in others is what still remains within us? We ourselves are looking through the eyes/prism of our own sinfulness and that’s why we see it so clearly in others.

God’s mercy is new every morning and when His word speaks of forgetting (forgiving) ours sins as far as east is from west and that he remembers our sins no more? Our God is able and my Bible still says in 1 John 1:19; “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Sin is something that reminds/shows us how much we need Jesus and His forgiveness and even more so, how much we need to forgive all those He has already forgiven.

Can we abuse grace, I believe this is possible but then let us focus our eyes on the risen Christ and allow Him to separate the wheat from the tares.

Let each work out his/her own salvation with fear and trembling? Our job is simply to spread His gospel, and love one another as He first loved us. He alone is able to judge righteously at he set appointed time.

While I believe in grace and desperately need unlimited grace in my life, I am continually thrown off by Hebrews 6:4-6.
    Your thoughts?

  9. antipas4yahshua Apr 3rd 2013

Good word, however, G_DS forgiveness and blessings is dependent on repentance.
This is clearly seen in the OT/NT and is the necessary for forgiveness.
Without repentance (think & act differently) , there is no forgiveness.

  10. antipas4yahshua Apr 3rd 2013

@Betty – yes G_D does see the heart and it is desperately wicked and beyond cure (Jer 17:9). Consider the scripture you mentioned – David went on to commit adultery and murder and yet he was a man after G_DS own heart (he repented once the prophet showed him).
    Review the new covenant – Ezek 11:19-20 & Jer 31:33 & Heb 8:10)
It consist of a new single heart of flesh and G_D writing His Torah of Christ on them (it is a daily interaction and if we do our part – G_D will do His and write His Law and transform our mind (Rom 12:2). This is day by day and moment by moment internal transformation ( 2 Cor 3 )

  11. Kevin Coleman Apr 3rd 2013

God did His part, He sent Jesus Christ to both reveal who the Father is, what He is like and how much He really loves us. In the death and redirection of Jesus Christ He has redeemed us, purified us, sanctified us, sent Holy Spirit to live in us thus giving us a new nature and ability to walk as Jesus walked. It truly is finished, God has completely wiped away the law that was strengthening even increasing sin by nailing it to cross. We now live in the glorious liberty that is fond in Christ Jesus the Messiah in and through Holy Spirit. Thanks be to Jesus Christ who has set me free from this this body of death.

  12. Kevin Coleman Apr 3rd 2013

Question when Jesus was hanging on the cross, He said “Father forgive them for they know not what they are doing” we’re they forgiven. If then Jesus said in John 20; John 20:22-23
And having said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit!
[Now having received the Holy Spirit, and being led and directed by Him] if you forgive the sins of anyone, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of anyone, they are retained. Is this not true also?

  13. DonaldN Apr 3rd 2013

    Concerning Hebrews 6:4-6—
Individual sins do not cause God to condemn us.
Rom 11:22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
God is good, but we also must consider His severity.
It all comes down to the condition of our heart. It is our attitude toward sin that matters.
Rom 7:15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.
If we sin, but hate sin and do not want to sin, then we will also be able to receive the goodness and forgiveness of God. As others have said, this must come through repentance.
The hypergrace believers often miss it in that they ignore sin, and some even embrace it because they don’t hate sin. They want to sin because they enjoy the pleasures of this life more than the relationship with God. Many that I know only want God to save them, but still let them live like the world.
So—where Hebrews 6:4-6 and other scriptures deal with being “cut off” is this…
    James 1:15-16
15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
Sin that is repented of is forgiven. If we continue in sin, refuse to repent, then the sin is what will cause us to be cut off, because it brings forth death. Continued sin, being unrepented of, hardens our heart, and therefore repentance becomes more and more difficult, until the end result, which is Hebrews 6:4-6.

  14. Jeanette Apr 3rd 2013

    Thanks, I needed that Word!

  15. Jer 31:3 The LORD has appeared of old to me, [saying]: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

This is who my Heavenly Father has been to me since Him revealing Himself to me and receiving Him as my Lord and Savior.

Since then I backslid, for a short time – conviction was too strong. PTL. I was lukewarm at times and I made several mistakes trying to make a way praying God would bless me.

Then came the guilt & condemnation that was so overwhelming. Then the Holy Spirit came and said to me that this is why Jesus came and died. It was for you. He came for this purpose. To forgive & as I repented He not only forgave but it is wiped from His memory.

I believe & have experienced His great love, mercy & grace. When I first saw the light. In the middle of my walk and now as He has never left me but has kept me and brought me to a much deeper relationship with Himself through it all.

When we are His – He will finish the good work He began in us. Not only me but everyone that is His. So, that is why we are in return to be kind and patient with others as the Holy Spirit is working in all God’s children and some are at a more mature time in their walk with Him than others. God help me as I have not always been patient and have had a critical spirit. And thank You for Your continued work Your doing in me. I love You for being such a merciful God.

    Fabulous article, Andrew.

The MERCY of God is magnified in the fact that EVERYTHING that God requires FROM US, HE GIVES TO US.

We LACK in the things of God, because of UNBELIEF.

Because of UNBELIEF, people have a small god that is powerless and needs OUR HELP, OUR TIME, OUR KNOWLEDGE, OUR MONEY, OUR EFFORT, OUR MOUTHS, OUR BODIES.

  17. Brad7 Apr 3rd 2013

Yeah – that sounds about right. It is incredible given some of the people I have met who have come out of teen challenge. Some of them have had a better understanding of the cross and grace than any other christians I have ever met. Much more than an intellectual knowledge.

In Wilkerson’s defense, in the Old Testament when God chose prophets he chose them because they understood the severity side of him. However, they did not understand the love. It sounds like Wilkerson resisted the progression to knowing both the kindness and the severity of God. What a horrible thing to live under. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to transform us by the renewing of our minds.

  18. Excellent article on MERCY not grace. Don’t confuse them. Mercy is God not giving us what we deserve & grace is God giving us what we don’t deserve. ie Mercy is God withholding His judgement & punishment for sin. Grace is God helping us not to sin. I love “hypergrace” I need lots of Gods help to not sin. Where sin abounds, God grace (help to not sin) doth much more abound.
I struggle to understand the misunderstanding of Gods grace!
I wrote on a previous forum & suggested that wherever the word grace is in your bible, cross it out & put Gods ability, or divine ability. Grace is God working in you His good whether it’s salvation or any thing, it’s God at work in you, that’s grace. “come to the throne of grace to find mercy (withhold judgement) & GRACE TO HELP in time of need Heb4” Help what? Help me not to keep doing what I need mercy for. When I come to the throne of grace I will be doing it because I am repenting, I now need to bring the fruit of that repentance ie make right what I did wrong eg Zaccheaus.
God withholding punishment is mercy, that’s what the articles about, not grace. God has an even bigger store of grace to help us out of our sin.
What many have said about repentance etc …..Amen.

Something else we don’t talk enough about-

The POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT in keeping us walking CLEAN before Jesus.

We really need to talk about that more

    Bless you!

    Andrew Strom

  20. Andrew Apr 3rd 2013

BTW – I do not consider this article “Hyper Grace” in any way.

Just purely about God’s willingness to have mercy and to forgive His children when they come to Him in true repentance.

    Andrew Strom

  21. Averyl Apr 3rd 2013

Andrew, – Yes, we do rely on the Holy Spirit to enable us to walk clean. But what if He does not have mercy on us & help us?

I knew a committed Christian who was an alcoholic & could not give up his addiction no matter how hard he tried.
Finally, in despair & in deep repentance, he took his own life.

Now I have a neighbour in the same situation, wondering why God does not help her to overcome her alcoholism. She is desparate and truly desires the Lord more than anything else in her life. (meanwhile making my life miserable by her alcohol-fuelled behaviour!)

    Any thoughts?

  22. I say we talk about and LIKE the early apostles did.
Because this mind thought reasoning of men leads to this
When I sin, and I do, I simply smile and acknowledge the fact the the old Jim still lives, and it is still I who lives and not Christ.
Sorry JIM, but your minds not in CHRIST at all to be able to say a word like that.
THis is the unsound doctrine and reasonings of men.
GOD dont smile at sin. BECAUSE SIN is DISOBEDIANcE unto HIM.
you know words like let deacons be GRAVE
I say way too many MINDS being run by fear and having to find
a different GOD to serve to be free of fear.
    ITS simple. CRUCIFY the FLESH……………..
The thoughts of men are death
the TRUTH OF GOD is lIfe and LIFE abundantely.
IF we want the PEACE of GOD
then do what HE said to do………..and DO NOT what he said not to.
WAY too many reasonings of men.
and it starts small…………it did with pete as well.
and before one knows it…………..they altogether following another JESUS whom was NOT preached at the FIRST,
but a worlds JESUS. created by mens minds.
    And the end is death.
READ only the bible people. JUST read it.
WHY……………because it gives us the INSTRUCTION in RIGHTEOUS, HOLY LIVING…………
and reasonings of mens worried minds……………is only death.
depart from evil………………from all uncleanliness even……….
the law said what was evil………
IN JESUS its on our heart to LIVE. THE HEART circumcised……
and a circumsised heart DONT SMILE at SIN.
Yes………………this must be called out and spoken against.
None should ever smile at sin…………….or say that just the ole me.

  23. Andrew Apr 3rd 2013

Averyl – were these people truly Spirit-filled? As in Acts 2:4 ?

    Bless you!

  24. any teacher, deacon, bishop, leader,
or any who gives a word…..
IT SHOULD never contradict what was FIRST wrote.
This is all part of the falling away from sound doctrine.
GRAVE……………….that means put the HOLY FEAR IN EM,
be serious, like paul, or others were.
the ones who actually said………..Be not highminded BUT FEAR
if GOD didnt spare them take heed lest he spare NOT THEE.
now this new mindset i am seeing more and more of
that speaks of sin as just being something we do.
AINT RIGHT. JESUS came to set us FREE of the bondage of sin
by HIS POWER, by HIS inner strength.
a way to worship GOD in spirit and truth.
BUt more and more and not speaking good sound doctrine
and thus those who heap these men unto themslves
are NOT BEING delivered out of the bondage of sin
but rather and being kept in bondage with the mindset
that one cant come out of sin.
IN CHRIST all THINGS are possible.
WITHOUT repentacne there is NO forgivness.
thus if any sees a brother or sisiter in a sin
GET THEM OUT QUCK…………warn them out, tell them of the severity of GOD, do what ever. BUT GET THEM OUT,
but NEVER smile at sin, nor the ole man.
That is of satan. And i will warn, because TRUE LOVE warns.
READ the WHOLE of them letters to the churches.
not here a piece there a peice twisted in mens reasonings
READ the whole of them letters. AND SEE.
WE just aint hearing men like those men………..anymore.
but rather a different gosple, of a different image of GOD.
    JESUS warned of HELLFIRE
and how extreme we should be against sinning.
    BUT today………………the warm sensual men
say…………..O god understands…………………..he set me free,
i can smile when i sin, and sit back and god forgives .
THAT dont pass the test of TRUTH a bit.
and i will warn agaisnt this type of teaching.
FOR those who truly DO hvae the spirit,
they are unctioned NOT TO SIN, NOT TO LOOK etc…….
my advice……………..take heed to the SPRIIT
    and not the contrary flesh.
FOR HE who sins willfully AFTER recieving the pardon
WELL there is NO MORE sacrifice of sins.
and some here…………… longer hear the HOLY GHOST
but now hear what they belive to be the holy ghost
    yet really…………….its their own delusion.
WE MUST be wise unto salvation …………..WE MUST.
And in them scrips is wisdom. THE END is nigh
and a different JESUS is being preached, in many forms
but its means is leading many to fall away from sound doctrine, truth, holy living………..from the words of CHRIST.
and unto the reasonings of sensual men gone wrong.

“This renewing of the mind will not come in a moment. It must be put into practice, even daily, until you have altered your heart and mind, received a revelation, and are walking out a new identity”

    extract from article below>

  26. Marilyn Crow Apr 3rd 2013

I am ever thankful for the deep, deep love of Jesus, for the great ocean of God`s everlasting mercy towards me & you.

Some words from C.J. Rolls, missionary & teacher from early last century.

“Mercy is what man needs most of all in his relationship with the Most High. The Hebrew word for mercy is derived from a root which means to bow, to bend, to stoop, & indicates the compassionate attitude which the Creator ever holds toward the creature.”

“In its various forms it is used upward of 200 times in the Old Testament, 27 of which are associated with the mercy seat which is above the ark of the covenant. The ark contained God`s holy law, so the mercy seat above it signified that mercy intervened between heaven`s holy law & humanity`s heinous sin.”

“What heartening news this is from the Most High, which tells of a gracious Mediator (Heb. 2: 17) with abundant mercy in His outstretched hands for mortal man, to safeguard him from the just penalty of sin.”

“This merciful High Priest who wears the exquisite miter of effulgent glory despiseth none. He raiseth up the poor from the ash heap & lifteth the needy out of the refuse dump that He may set him with the princes of His people.”

“Oh, what wondrous love & mercy He hath showered on the children of man. We should meditate far more upon His tender mercy & gaze more intently on His kindly grace & peer more earnestly into His wondrous pity until the heart burns with gratitude & learns to sing the melody of mercy to the music of the spheres”.

“God is more glorified in His covenant of grace than He is in His great creation, yea, He is more magnified in the ministry of mercy than in the mystery of His Majesty. To think of God as a tyrant is to think of sin as a trifle but to know Him to be loving is to know sin to be loathsome. ”

We can never talk enough of our Saviour & Lord, our God who
“delighteth in mercy.` (Micah 7: 18) And I am so appreciating other`s comments on His great mercy towards us. Marilyn.

  27. margaret Apr 3rd 2013

Praise God! We are nothing without His mercy…

  28. Psalm 136 used to be a little irritating in it’s repetitiveness (forgive me Lord) until one day I read it slowly & I had a real need for forgiveness & it changed completely. Read each line in context. We dont understand His mercy, it’s what David wrote about.
Yes Andrew, we really need to discuss how to get out of habitual sin, it’s helpful & positive.
God has only 1 source of power & it’s Himself expressed in/by the Holy Spirit…His grace/graciousness at work. We struggle with sin because we are not receiving His grace, only mercy. To receive grace is to receive the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome. If one is not overcoming & one repents one is receiving His mercy only. One now needs to move on in God to overcome the sin or the thing i needed mercy & forgiveness for & that’s Grace, it HELPS.
How I receive His grace to help would be a great discussion.

  29. Andrew, can you imagine a tsunami covering the whole of Auckland in NZ and you going to the top of a nearby hill where a crowd had gathered & said “God buried Auckland & all its inhabitants, & His mercy endures forever”

  30. Andrew Apr 4th 2013

    No – I can’t imagine saying that.

But I do believe Paul said “Behold the goodness and the severity of God.” (-Both things).

We need a balanced perspective of ALL God’s attributes and character.

    Bless you!

  31. watchful Apr 4th 2013

Amen Andrew, and Randall………It is so hard to explain what I want to say, but grace and mercy would be meaningless unless we NEEDED it. If there is no “wages of death” (judgment) to worry about then why would we need grace and mercy? Sin separates us from God, both because of our conscience and because He is Holy and cannot dwell with sin. Somehow if we just preach grace and mercy without also incorporating the truth about sin, it is missing the mark. His kindness leads us to repentance BECAUSE of knowing we don’t deserve it. It seems that there is always a sort of tension that exists between the dichotomies of His truth, and this is a necessary thing.

  32. Kevin Apr 4th 2013

For me the balance comes back to what is it that Jesus came to save us from ?

The answer is the judgments of our righteous and Holy God.

This is the true gift and measure of the mercies given to us through our lord Jesus Christ.

for rather than condemn us in our ignorance and fallen state , He came among His own creation to lead us and show us how to walk His path of truth and life.

Praise our glorious Lord Jesus Christ !

  33. watchful Apr 4th 2013

Ian, His HOLINESS lives forever too……….He is longsuffering and slow to anger……..but also it is true that His Spirit doesn’t strive with man forever. Sin full grown is always judged. History shows that as well as the scriptures. So we want to REMAIN in His kindness, remain in His love…if any don’t remain then they are the ones walking away from blessing into cursing. That is the reality of His discipline. But we pray and hope better things for Auckland!

  34. watchful Apr 4th 2013

    Amen, Kevin.

  35. fabakary Apr 4th 2013

Bless by this article Andrew , God does not only show us the wrong but He liberate us from the wrong, by the power of His spirit.
At the risks of being misunderstood I will say there are sinful things that I will never do even without God help but there are some sinful things that I can never stop without God. For example I was never a drunkard and do not need God to stop being drunken , seeing in the scripture “thou shall not be a drunkard” is enough for me. I do not need any deliverance power through Gods grace. But seeing some personal old lifestyle written in the scripture like “thou shall not fret, lust, bitter, angry etc ” In this issues the scripture is not enough for me, I need the God of the scriptures , in a personal and intimate way , to keep me above this sins.
It is not enough to know what is sinful. In my country here we have one Muslim religious who preach hell fire , the Moral law of God , until he scream and I never heard any christian like that. I have read “sinners in the hands of an angry God by Jonathan Edwards ” but apart from the anointing that i feel from Edwards words , the Muslim leader words are more scary . I have been listening some of his preaching before i came to christ and up to date people keep buying his cassette with great interest. But the truth is this muslim religious leader leave people more confuse because he only reveal the problem , without revealing the solution, the only one which is relationship,Jesus Christ. And honestly sometimes they way some christian speak , makes me feel like there preaching is not more than this islamic religious leader , because they never show you the solution . They preach and teach as if you are your own solution. You can do it yourself. And so Christ is divorced since he is not needed.

  36. GaryB Apr 4th 2013

I have that same problem trying to say what I’m thinking and then putting it into writing. 🙂

Read your comment and then thought of “Job” who said, though he slay me yet will I trust him.

  37. Marilyn Crow Apr 4th 2013

Because of His infinite Mercy He became `the Man of Sorrows.` Although God had a Son without sin, He never had a Son without sorrow & in this tragic feature Christ is the pre-eminent one. If we are observant, we realize that suffering & sorrow minister to the human race from birth to burial.

A man said, `If I were God, the sorrows of this world would break my heart.` Another said, `So they did.` What insight is permitted us into the nature of divine grief when we examine Ps. 69.

`Because for thy sake I have borne reproach….For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; & the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. When I wept, & chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach…Reproach hath broken ny heart.` (Ps. 69, 7, 9, 10, 20)

The Lord exchanged the highest seat of heavenly honor for the lowest state of earthly humiliation & identified Himself with human sorrow in order to remove its very cause.

He became acquainted with grief in its severest form, encountered pain in its sharpest pangs, experienced agony in its worst nature & endured desertion of the most cruel kind.

Because He was perfect in every capacity of His manhood, He was far more sensitive to sorrow & felt it more keenly than others, & was more sensible of grief & understood its nature as no one else did.

During Christ`s earthly manifestation a multide of grievous burdens lay heavy upon His soul. His was the sorrow of disowned affinity, He came to His own & His own received Him not – the sorrow of despised affection, with tear filled eyes he said, `How oft would I have gathered you…. but ye would not, – the sorrow of disregarded appeal, `ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.` (John 5: 40) – the sorrow of dishonored claims; `ye do dishonour me `(John 8: 49)

How poignant was the sorrow of rejected love – so eager, so fervent, more tender & solicitious, yes, more strong & passionate than a mother`s love for her child. How painful the sorrow when His own people resented the light of the knowledge of the glory of God that shone forth from His countenance.

How personal the sorrow that pierced His heart when the rulers ridiculed His labors as being of the devil. How positive the sorrow which grieved Him when His proffered freedom from the bondage of sin was refused, an offer which was regarded by the Jews as altogether uncalled for, yes & unnecessary. (John 8: 32 – 34)

Truely He was a Man of Sorrows aquainted with grief.` that the Mercy of God may come to us.

Oh to know Him more. Marilyn.

  38. I was blessed by your post immediately above Marilyn, Jesus truly is ‘the Man’, He has my respect, He is my Role Model and my Hero… 🙂 As you say, “Oh to know Him more”… Love in the Lord, Andrew

  39. Marilyn Crow Apr 4th 2013

Thank you Andrew J. Horton, I think we are coming into a time when He is going to reveal Himself to us more & more. But goodnight for now, & God bless to all. Marilyn.

  40. Sometimes we are harder on ourselves (and therefore others) than even God is. The Word says “Love covers a multitude of sins”. It definitely does not excuse or promote sin, and as previous contributors have said -repentance is needful in each case. Perhaps the yardstick people try to live up to, is one set by themselves and not God. It is high because they are (albeit unconsciously) relying on themselves to maintain or reach it. Instead we all have to return to total dependence on Him, knowing we will never reach that place of so called perfection on our own. The cross certainly has made a way to move towards achievement but the sustainment of that success, is still total dependence on Christ. The journey through life as a Christian is a catch 22 walk – (1) knowing that we can do all (the impossible)things through Christ who strengthens us but (2) knowing that we can do nothing without Christ. We have to have come back down to earth and keep reminding ourselves that overall Christ is the source. We may also give up as David writes, because we don’t really see Christ as the source or believe He can do it (or help us) anyway, so unbelief may creep in. People living in 3rd world nations, where there is nothing else but to rely on Christ for everything and even mere survival often, get more ‘practice’ at this dependence than those of us in the west, as we have so many provisions at our finger tips. We don’t get the training in Christ dependence and are more indoctrinated to be independent and self reliant. As David said our vision is limited or has been hindered partly by the ongoing provisions of our western culture. With the darkening end times upon us all globally, we may see our understanding of God’s loving mercies which are new every morning, really beginning to ‘shine’ in our lives, because then security (and hope) will only be able to lie in the presence and person of Jesus. Jesus looked to the Father for absolutely everything. While he did not struggle with sin as we do, he did struggle with the calling upon him and the physical suffering, but He did nothing without the Father’s heresay. That is our model too -to aid us overcoming sin and receiving that merciful love.

  41. L. Alex Smith Apr 4th 2013

“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall in no wise fulfill the lusts of the flesh.” How many Christians re-interpret that to mean in practical terms, “try by iron will and discipline to not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, and having succeeded, that will indicate that you are now walking in the Spirit.” And having doomed themselves to failure over and over, many grow discouraged, and few there be that find the actual way of walking in the Spirit. I John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to [keep on continuously] cleans[ing] us from all our unrightousness.” The fact that the Greek verb tense is a continuing action– is VERY comforting. Couldn’t get along without it. But where do we go from there? In Hebrews, “Laying aside the [foundational] doctrines of repentance, baptisms, etc….let go onto maturity…” Why do we keep going over and over the doctrine of repentance? Why do not we move on to deeper things in God? Like the Baptist churches I attended as a child, in that environment I never grew beyond a very basic, infant-stage, “milk” Christianity. Where’s the maturity? Where’s not only the Christ-like-ness, the depth of character, but also the deep revelations and mysteries (that is, hidden secrets of God to be revealed to those who will apprehend them)…. I want to stop being a caterpillar, and fly.

  42. The Soul essence of the saving Life Blood of Jesus Christ as the Son of Man, was sacrificial Love, which, as the Son of God is the same essence of His Father’s Love and Righteousness. Jesus Christ was and is the perfect representative of man, and the soul and life of the Son of Man was poured out upon the earth, through His Blood, for the reparation of the sins of earthly mankind. And the Holy Lord God Almighty accepted the essence of Christ’s Soul with His human Spirit, which was Perfect Love for the Father, as an exchange offering for our souls that were held in sin and death, and totally lacking in that perfect love. Holy God is LOVE and only the Holy LOVE of His Son will satisfy the price for the redemption of the unholy. For He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53 verse 5 thru 6.)

St. Ignatius of Antioch, who was martyred in 107 AD, and certainly was not a Roman Catholic, wrote: “I have no taste for corruptible food, nor for the pleasures of this life. I desire the Bread of God, which is the Flesh of Jesus Christ, Who was of the seed of David; and for drink, I desire His Blood, which is love incorruptible”.

Mankind lacks the Perfect Love of God as demonstrated by His Son in the flesh of humanity, and as a result of our corruption with self idolatrous sin, we love not the Holy Father God in deserved perfection nor our fellow man as our selves. In Holy Communion, we receive through the Holy Spirit that same Word of Power of God’s Love within the Soul and the Life of the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, for He is the perfect Son and Loves the Father perfectly. “What is it” that mankind has lost and unknowingly truly seeks after? Jesus prayed: And I have declared unto them Thy Name, and will declare it: that the Love wherewith Thou hast Loved Me, may be in them, and I in them. John 17 verse 26. (See Hebrews 12 verse 22 thru 25.)

The questioning of truth in God’s Word began in the Garden, and the challenge is always before us: “Did the Lord God really say, and mean what He said?” If Adam and Eve could have seen the dimensional substance of evil in the fruit that changed them in body, soul and spirit, would they have eaten from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil? As it is, their soul broke faith with God, and they desired to see and divine for themselves what they thought that God had hidden from their view. May I say that the empirical evidence suggest that the unseen substance of evil and self rule was obviously present, and is made manifest today through all the divining hearts of Adam’s offspring of unbelief and disobedience. Furthermore, the offspring of Adam without faith and humility, will never divine the real substance within the provisions on the Lord’s Table of Grace. What is that substance that begins with faith?

Our Holy Covenant with Holy God Almighty is an unmeasurable Gift of Mercy, given in the Living Sacrifice of God’s only begotten from eternity, and the shedding of the Holy Life Blood of that incarnate Son, Christ Jesus, Who was fully the Son of Man. Only that One Holy Life, lived in Perfect Love of God Almighty is sufficient to atone for the damnable sins of mankind. Only the sacrificial Life within the Blood of the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, given in the Love of God satisfies the demands of God’s Eternal Holiness, and is the only means of justification for all of mankind who believe in the sacrificial sufficiency of the Life of Jesus Christ. If Christ Jesus is not raised from the dead, then the sacrifice of His Life Blood is not sufficient for the Life of mankind, and our Communion Covenant is remembered in vain. But Christ is risen in power and glory, and the constancy of His Word of Truth says: “This is My Blood of the New Covenant poured out for many for the remission of sins”.

The Agape of Holy God is the antithesis of sin, and the one who drinks in of that sanctifying Blood of the New Covenant, drinks in of the Holy Spirit of that Agape of God.

    Robert Glenn

  43. Andrew is not that psalm & my comment not revealing just what you said….His goodness & severity, revealed in every verse??
The Lord Jesus brought grace & truth. Grace (gods ability) to walk in His truth.
The law brought by Moses brought no ability to keep the commands, but the Lord Jesus did that by bringing grace, thats why we have no excuse to sin.
“hyper grace” equals hyper ability to not sin
    Bless the Lord.

  44. kitty Apr 4th 2013

A good word for cultivating our ability to love.

  45. True L Alex Smith, great analogy. Am I STILL a caterpillar but I want to Fly! Since we are dealing with eternity, born again living is not an easy stretch. This I know. The Lord brought to my attention a very valuable thought (for me) and I want to share it.

One night while pondering His Word, I became very enlivened by this intruding thought: “If you’re GOOD when daddy gets home, we’ll see.” “But, you have to be GOOD.”I was struck dumb! My Mom used to say that. I said it to all my children…many Moms say that to their little tikes. We make a habit of ‘bribing’ little ones to be “good”. It must be “being good’ to be rewarded.

I found out through God’s gracious wisdom that loving Mothers often put bad ideas and feelings in their children’s minds, hearts. No human relations can make you trust and obey, thus, walk in the spirit. Jesus Christ, alone, when you listen and do what He says, will you be able to ‘walk in the Spirit’. Trust and Obey, there’s no other way.

For me, it showed I was a selfish believer. Instead of sitting down with them and properly explaining to them, with the Lord’s help, I gave them ‘Godly precepts’ to egg them on. How confusing can that be? Yes, I’ve repented. I’m still a caterpillar, L Alex!

  46. Simple LOVE fullfills the law
and we have the LOVE of CHRIST shed upon our hearts by
    the HOLYGHOST…….
the problem truly is…………many are and have re defined LOVE
into a mere flesh understadning which in every case
    contradicts places in scripture.
IF one wants to truly know the UNITY of the Spirit
and LOVE, and know its LOVE.
LOOK to what GOD has said to do………….and DO IT
and what he calls sin, transgression, abomination
or uncleanliness and DONT do it.
This power we do have, when all , i say ALL affections, desires
are above on HIM, NOT on things here on earth.
Not being mindful of earthly things
but having ALL hope in HIm above, and HIS promise
that he went to prepare a place, a city, a heavenly Jerusalme
and IF he went……………SO TOO shall HE come again
that one day………..we , who remained faithful in HIM
shall endure free of bodies of death, and forever free
in eternal joy and peace . IF we seek our sights above
on the promise of HIS return…………..then we walk
as we would want to be found of him on that day.
FOR here we have no continual city……………..but we await one to come. Beware of covetousness…………..for a mans life consists not in the abundance of those things.
Learn to be content in all circumstances…………..reaching
towards the prize of our high calling in CHRIST
that on that DAY………………the reward shall be given.
that grace kept us, and we did work out our salvation,
that we pressed onward wiht no affections on things seen,
but rather on HE who is still yet unseen.
When the heart is above…………………….not here on earth
    this man is free.
Therefore i say unto us all………………give those things
no thought, no worries, and be content.
FOR GOD has said that HE will NEVER leave us nor forsake us.
and that we may BODLY say…………..i shall NOT FEAR
what man can do unto me.
FOR man can take all my wordly possessions
and STILL I HAVE ALL and all JOY for i have CHRIST
and can do all FOR I HAVE CHRIST.
Man can imprison me, and scourge us
but still JOY ensues and rejoicing abounds
for then it is………..we are being counted worthy to suffer shame for his name………….and PEACE remains.
man can even kill the body………….
YET to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD.
to die is gain………………to remain here……… CHRIST and the JOY of knowing his sufferings………and to abound through all times , ever leaning on HIS promise of His return for the faithful.
BUT , no man knows this day or hour.
so what i say to us all………………..Watch
lest ye be taken by cares and pleasures of this life
watch lest ye be overtaken through the desires of the world,
the lust of the eyes, the pride of life.
    Watch……………………and be READY always……….
for no man knows his last hour, NOR does any know
    the day of the LORD.
WATCH………………..and have all hope above in HIM. amen.

  47. Watch……………………..lest that day OVERTAKE one as a theif…….
for in a day which one thinks NOT ……………….HE COMES
IN this last hour upon earth…………many aer doing just as was done in LOTTS days……… Noahs days……..
and like those days………….VERY FEW warn or speak of HIS COMING………………….so too are these days.
AND BEHOLD he has said…………………..THE SON OF MAN COMES in the days of LOTT and NOAH………….
few were looking , few were taking serious the warning of GODS JUDGEMENT that was NIGH TO COME
    SO TOO are these days……….
SO what i say to us all
BEHOLD the day of the LORD draws nigh.
    draws nigh.
BE found as you would want to be found.
Not as a many who have turned the GRACE of GOD
    into lasciviouness………….
the man who speaks as though CHRISTS coming is NIGH
is now mocked and ridiculed and often told
HOW do you know this……….he may not come for hundreds of years. TO WHICH i say………………….HOW CAN YE NOT SEE THE SIGNS of the TIMES………….
THE HEART…………………………..tis always about the HEART.
is it HERE on earth , minding earthly things……..
OR Is it simply, singly, ABOVE on HIM.
THOSE whose HEART, MIND, soul, , all affections above
we will SEE and know the signs of the times……
others will only make a mockery ……..
BEHOLD the coming of the LORD draws nigh…………..

  48. A GOOD WORD of the day………..
it dont omit, make void, or change parts to suit any lifestyle
TO those who change, they simply walk NOT in LOVE
    and are NOT OF GOD.
    Dont condmen them……………………..CORRECT them
in meekness and godly fear, and others compssion.
BUT DO CORRECT, the rest is up to them.
NONE can say…………….OH LORD did i see them………
GOD KNOWS all we think or do…………all we see, or all we
    close an eye too.
MY advice. PICK back up the bible, get grounded in them scrips.
learn , and you will see the simple truth as a babe.
BUT DONT…………….ever reason out the scrips
in a way to ever excuse what one does
or dont do. SIMPLY like a son towards HIS FATHER
walk faithfully and in perfect obediance unto HIM who has called us out of darkness and into the marvelous light of CHRIST.
NO longer walking as does those still under the spirit of wickedness. as we all once were. BUT NOW.
    arise……………..put ye on the LIGHT………………
and PRAISE the LORD……………all ye who bear the vessels of the LORD………………..COME ye OUT of babylon
    and GOD shall recieve you.
BIBLE reading………………for many now speak as does new age………and their affections are here on earth, who mind earthy things………..whose god is their belly……………..who trust is in riches that can be seen. WHO know NOT THE FATHER of our true riches in CHRIST JESUS……….
Who have turned from the clean way……………..back to wallow in the mire………………back to the vomit of all uncleaniness…
a greater damnation awaits any and all……….who once knew
and then trampled under foot the SON of GOD
those who were described by the seeds of the parable.
WATCH……………………..for no man knows HIS DAY
nor mans own last hour. amen.

Randell , it gives me Joy that I do not have to wait for the day the Lord will come for the world in Judgment , to see Him. It is a bad news for the world. It gives me joy that even today I can have a relationship, with the very Christ that is to come, not in a degree less. He may not come to the world today but to the believer who seeks Him , He will come to him daily as a friend, guide, helper and savior. He is there for me today, that I might see and know Him. I am not only waiting for the day that he will appear to the world, as if that is my only hope NO NEVER , HE is my hope even before that day, He promised to come to me TODAY ,so more rejoicing that even today, he can come to me though the world may not know about it.
“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.(Jn 14v18-20).

  50. Sandra G. Apr 4th 2013

Randall, I will give a big shout of AMEN!!! to your posts. Jesus is coming very soon. Not as a lamb being led to slaughter, but as King, and with HIM comes a sword to smite the nations. HE will destroy with the brightness of HIS coming. As you say, the signs are every where, and by HIS grace we can see all things being done just as HE said they would. HE is the door to salvation, but one day that door will shut, and like the 5 foolish virgins, many will be standing there knocking, but will not be able to enter. It is time to WAKE UP, LOOK UP, and SHOUT from the roof tops that the KING is coming.

    In HIS light,
    Sandra G.

  51. Randal you’re right about love & obedience etc, but HOW do we get to love Him & be obedient. If it was within our ability then from Adam on they would have done it, but couldn’t.
That’s why God sends us His grace. We cannot do it just because we decide to & go ahead & do it. Yes we must & He will, by his grace/Spirit working in us, if we build the relationship etc etc & many more etcetras be enabled to do it.
This is the subject that I think will be encouraging & enlightening to discuss.
The issue I think is not what to do, we all know that, it’s how to do what we know to do. How to draw on His grace.

  52. Walking/living in the Spirit is living by His grace. We live BY grace not under grace as in mercy. As I mind the things of the Spirit, Gods grace empowers me to do whatever.
I have to do what I can do THEN God does what He can do & that’s miraculous. Unless the Lord builds the house they who labor do so in vain. We have to labor & Gods grace makes it happen.
Paul ministered according to the grace (ability/empowering) God gave him.

  53. fabakary Apr 4th 2013

God bless you “Ian” for that word, so true , and timely.

The still, sweet, whisper of the Holy Spirit of God.

  55. Marilyn Crow Apr 4th 2013

What encouraging words to read, thank you all.

    Randall Lowrey

I do love to read your `flow.` They are full of encouraging & warning gems. Just a thought I`d like to mention. You know how it`s said `No one knows the hour or day…` & you`re right we don`t.
(This was said to Israel who was in darkness, unbelief.
    Matt. 24:36)

However in your 3rd comment you said a wonderful thing -“walking faithfully…unto Him who has called us out of darkness & into the marvellous light of Christ.`

    This leads us to 2 Thess. 5: esp.2 & 4. (1 – 11)

`For you yourselves know full well that the Day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night, while they…..
But you brethren, are NOT in darkness that the Day should overtake you like a thief.`

Really I am just affirming that great truth that because of God`s mercy through Christ He has not destined us for wrath, (the Day of the Lord) but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Be encouraged Randall. Yes no one knows the Day, but it will not overtake us as a thief for we are not in darkness. `So let us come together all the more, encouraging one another, as you see the Day drawing near.` (Heb. 10: 25)

What a hope. What a promise. Marilyn.

  56. Averyl Apr 4th 2013

Andrew, – How can someone be filled with God’s Spirit when they have an addiction, demonized? Or is it a case of less of me & more of Him?
The issue can become the focus instead of Christ.

My mother read this and started weeping. Just like David, she only saw God as a judge and teacher, one who corrects her when she does wrong, but she does not know His tenderness, compassion, or love.

Her parents ingrained into her that she is worthless and no good and no matter how many times I tell her God loves her for her, and not for her performance, she simply can not comprehend it.

My mother is a dedicated Christian who has loved Christ since she was a teenager. She knows the Holy Spirit and God speaks to her often, as He tells her things before they even happen. She is the most Godly person I know and yet she doesn’t feel that God really loves her. She knows intellectually that God loves her but she does not know his “tenderness” as David speaks of.

I would just ask for anyone who is willing, to pray for her that she might receive the revelation of God’s great love and tenderness for her soul.

The devil has also put a type of “jail keeper” before her. She has this strange feeling that if she accepts the love of God, then she will grow pride-filled and fall just like Lucifer. She knows this isn’t right and we know it is demonic in nature, however we are having a difficult time breaking free from it’s grasp. I would humbly ask anyone with the Spirit of God to intercede with me that she might know God’s amazing love and to be set free from the bondage that she has lived under her entire life.

May God grant us Mercy and Grace when we call!

Sorry to interrupt the flow, but this is SO BIG.

How can anyone believe that the world is getting darker when the Light of God is EXPOSING THE HIDDEN THING OF THE Kingdom of Darkness?

“Mystery Babylon is exposed to the light, it cannot help but fall. Babylon is allergic to light.

A cache of 2.5 million files has cracked open the secrets of more than 120,000 offshore companies and trusts, exposing hidden dealings of politicians, con men and the mega-rich the world over.

The secret records obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists lay bare the names behind covert companies and private trusts in the British Virgin Islands, the Cook Islands and other offshore hideaways….

The hoard of documents represents the biggest stockpile of inside information about the offshore system ever obtained by a media organization. The total size of the files, measured in gigabytes, is more than 160 times larger than the leak of U.S. State Department documents by Wikileaks in 2010….

“I’ve never seen anything like this. This secret world has finally been revealed,” said Arthur Cockfield, a law professor and tax expert at Queen’s University in Canada, who reviewed some of the documents during an interview with the CBC. He said the documents remind him of the scene in the movie classic The Wizard of Oz in which “they pull back the curtain and you see the wizard operating this secret machine.” …

The anonymity of the offshore world makes it difficult to track the flow of money. A study by James S. Henry, former chief economist at McKinsey & Company, estimates that wealthy individuals have $21 trillion to $32 trillion in private financial wealth tucked away in offshore havens — roughly equivalent to the size of the U.S. and Japanese economies combined….

Jda016….Please share your mom’s first name and I will pray for her.

  62. Father in Jesus Name I pray that You would reveal to Jonathan’s mother Your truth…

    In her innermost being…

Reveal Your Truth to her innermost being and set her free…

Let the Fire of God burn – the Passionate Love of God towards her burn in her to remove all the lies of the enemy from her…

Open her eyes to see the truth…

    To see the Truth…

Give her what You have given me…

Release to her the understanding which You have given me…

    Set her free…

Open her eyes to see the truth…

    The Truth…

Give her the Revelation of the Truth and open her eyes – removing that stranglehold of pride – to believe what You have said about her (the new her, her new creation)…

What You have done has nothing to do with her (sin within her) it has everything to do with the new creation which You have given her…

What You have done – and created in her – cannot be tainted by the enemy – she cannot keep herself but You will – and have promised to keep her new self – the evil one cannot touch her…

Break now Father the yoke of bondage which she has been under and give her Your Perfect Love which casts out fear…

Give her Your Perfect Love which casts out fear and gives her the ability to rejoice in You for what You have created in her…

I’m smiling on the inside – she will come through to this knowledge of God’s Love for her – Praise You Jesus…

Thank You Father, Thank You Holy Spirit, Thank You Lord…

Cover her now with Your Blood Lord, cover her mind and give her rest, help her to “let go” and trust that You will carry her no matter what happens and no matter the enemy throws at her – whatever the barbs of fear are – that she is Eternally Safe in Your Arms…

    Of Love for her…

    Love in the Lord,

  63. Marilyn Crow Apr 5th 2013

Yes, Lord, May You give her a specific happening, known only to her of its importance, that will show her Your tender love & care & understanding of her as a unique child of God.

  64. Marilyn Crow Apr 5th 2013

I`d like to bring up an important truth that the mercy of God through Jesus Christ not only brings forgiveness of our sins but God will save us from His wrath.

    `For God has not destined us for wrath…` (1 Thess. 5: 9)

The wrath of God will be poured out during the time of tribulation, called in God`s word, `the Day (the time) of the Lord,` ` the wrath of God,` `the time of Jacob`s troubles,` etc. It is a Day (time) of great darkness, as the prophet Joel says. (Joel 1: 15, 2: 2)

God says that it is a `time to test all those on the earth,` but that He will keep the Body of Christ from that time. (Rev. 3: 10)

A friend of mine thinks that why should the Body of Christ not go through that time. Why should we have it easy? But Christians are being tortured & martyred every day for their belief in Christ.

The wrath of God is different as it is a specific time when God is
`avenging the blood of His servants & rendering vengeance on His adversaries.` (Deut. 32: 43) Note that Israel are His people that go through that time as they are in unbelief.

I firmly believe that the mercy of God is so great that it extends to protecting us from His great wrath at an unrepentant world. Nothing has been like it or will be again.

In that horrendeous time if people call out to God He will save them, & they will have a part in God`s great kingdom.

Praise God for His great ocean of mercy through Jesus Christ.

  65. GaryB Apr 5th 2013

I think on some situations it is hard to give a simple “this is what it is answer”, even though people may try to give one. The easy thing to do is to give pat answers but many times it does not help in the problem.

Each individual you face with these type of problems you have to let the Spirit of God give you understanding on how to deal with it.

I hope this is understandable and helps in dealing with these people you come in contact with.

Amen Marilyn to your post on the Man of sorrows aquainted with grief. In all of His suffering He was utterly selfless and only concerned for His sheep, that’s what really gets me. Like Him we also pass through bitter waters during our wilderness trek…..and then time comes when He will turn our bitter waters to sweet, through the cross suffering comes, but also through the cross…..He redeems. oh praise Him! And I just want to pray…..who is like unto you oh Lord! Who can fathom your ways! Heal our bitter waters I pray, for all of us who have followed you, forgive us and cleanse us……………………………………..for the sake of your Glory!

  67. Barry Schmidt Apr 5th 2013

This is a very encouraging and faith building article. I don’t know what I would do if God treated me according to my sins and not according to His mercy. Oh how I hate my sin – AFTER I INDULGE IN IT! I hate it also UP TO THE TIME I INDULGE IN IT. But each and every time I sin –at least in the moments before I sin- I CHOOSE AND WANT IT!

Let no man deceive himself into saying he doesn’t choose sin, doesn’t want it and doesn’t desire it WHILE HE IS YET SINNING. If this the case no man would be guilty before God. It would be able to claim innocence and be merely a victim.
This is to deny our sin and no man who denies his own culpability and personal responsibility for sin can be forgiven:
“IFWE CONFESS OUR SINS- He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from al unrighteousness.”

But praise be to God even though I am guilty, even though I willfully choose each time I sin, even though I deserve condemnation for my rebellion EACH AND EVERY TIME I SIN- praise God Jesus died for this VERY REBELLION in me! praise God I still HAVE peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. PRAISE GOD HE WILL NEVER COUNT MY SINS AGAINST ME NOR TAKE THEM INTO ACCOUNT ON CHRIST’S BEHALF ALONE!

Oh how I hate my sin. Oh how I wish I would never grieve my gracious and forgiving God. Oh how MY SIN put Jesus on the cross! The One I supremely love I have put on the cross.
If tears were enough I would cry ceaselsly.
If remorse were enough I would shame myself endlessly.
If guilt were enough I would gladly bear the guilt instead of making my Precious Lord bear it!
But tears, guilt and shame can never atone for my sin!
What can take away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

He who speaks against sinning with a judgemental and long nose knows nothing of his own sin!

Lightning Storm, I agree very much with your last comments over on the other topic, so much so I could stand up and shout! Very well said too! No fear, worry, etc, but we do need to be prepared and those things about the last days were written for a reason and not to be ignored. Iniquity does increase. You are right about darkness not triumphing ultimately and I should have been more precise and said that darkness will have the appearance of triumphing for a season.

Nor do I have an issue with “light”, but only am concerned with the “gradual” increasing of it……………….because in addition to the scriptures I already gave, it also says that He will come “suddenly” to His temple (Mal. 3). My concern is that the concept of gradually increasing light might inadvertently make us call evil good and good evil, this is what I had a glimpse of. And this is also what new age does. We say that God’s people are growing and more light is being revealed bit by bit, this is true, but we could also say that about every generation, it isn’t unique to the last days..? Unless you have more sciptures to do with these things and would care to go into it more when there is an opportunity. Not to take this off topic right now, but maybe something to think about. We are dealing with fine lines sometimes in these perilous days.

And I want to say I regret my harsh words to you a while back and hope you will forgive…………..I who accuse do the same things! I am sorry, truly..

I’m glad there is nobody here speaking against sin with a judgmental and long nose Barry!

But I thank my faithful God some are preaching a way to come out of sin, to be saved from our sins and flesh, a good clear flow in time of deep drought!…this is a gift!……..and except they preach and we hear how can we believe!!! And truly become DOERS of the word and not just hearers only! MOST OF US, if not just about ALL are still falling short of His glory but don’t know it!! Help us Father, for we are weak……….more grace I pray! Show us the way and help us get there! If one can do it, then it must be that all can because you are no respecter of persons. Lord, I believe, you know i do, but oh God help my wretched unbelief.

Thanks Watchful – I hope my statement didn’t accuse anyone on this post.
I have discovered that the common idea if what repentance means to most people is far too shallow. The reason for this shallow view I repentance is because most see sin in much too shallow a light as well in a couple waya:
1.Sin is seen as some kind of theological concept or abstract sense rather than what it really is- a failure to love or a lack of love.
Sin – because it is a lack of love is always RELATIONAL and therefore sin always HURTS AND CAUSES PAIN TO OTHERS (God and neighbour). The first misconception of sin leads to the second.
    2. Sin is seen only in terms of how it effects ME- how it hurts ME. (This explains our alcoholi friend who committed suicide when he didn’t get delivered form his alcoholism) He was doin what MOST Christians do- think how his sin affected HIMSELF ALONE.
The truth is that every sin (because sin is a lack of love)HURTS OTHERS WAY MORE THAN OUT SIN HURTS US!

If for once we by Gods grace see how our sin hurts our spouses, our children, our parents, our co workers, our pastors and our family in Christ- THEN WE WILL TRULY REPENT.
Everyone is weeping for themselves .
Where are those who are weeping for how our lack I love is hurting those around us AND ESPECIALLY HOW OUR LACK OF LOVE HURTS GOD!!!

  71. Father, Johnathan’s Mother believes. Belief is released, but it’s Faith that gives us power in You, not of ourselves. She must release her Faith, Lord. We cannot please You without faith. Help her in her unbelief, Lord. This is in her will and yours. Thank You for guiding us to her.

We all raise our prayers, in faith for her fears. That is exactly why You came to us. In Jesus name, Amen

  72. fabakary Apr 5th 2013

Joan w when you spoke about faith I agree so much with you. Below is a word the lord once laid in my heart , it was first meant to deal with me but taught it good to share here. Very familiar with us easy to have but easy to miss too.
“Verily I saith unto you he that believeth on me has everlasting life(John6v47)”. There is a difference between denying the Lord and disbelieving the Lord. The apostle many times disbelieves the Lord in his earthly life but only peter deny him once but later repented. To disbelieve the Lord may not necessarily mean one is sinning, depending on what word from the lord is disbelieve; but to deny the lord, is sin against him, for that is rejecting him. When the Lord says “Verily I saith unto you he that believeth on me has everlasting life”, He was not only speaking to the sinner but also the child of God. Everlasting life , is the greatest of all strength, the most powerful of all powers . The most amazing thing is anytime we believe any word from the Lord, or the Lord we are receiving everlasting life. That what the scriptures says. We do not know how it happens, but believing, trusting the Lord, in our daily life is the only thing that strengthen the believer , in the fiery trials. What the enemy does is to make us doubt the lord, because He knows with that even if we did not deny or reject the lord we will lose the power and strength that will keep us alive in the daily challenges.

  73. Oh, Barry, you have truly nailed it. I started watching how sins of lust (being unfaithful, lieing, stealing, etc., effects so many of your loved ones and friends) It was back then that I realized why we should listen to the instructions of God, the Ten Commandments, Proverbs, and all throughout the Bible.words of warning. It’s for our own good and others…..sin is so mean and ugly…as is it’s author.

Our own sins, unfortunately touches others, like a pebble thrown into water, watch how big and far the ripples go. True repentance should be felt to the core. Feeling sorry is one thing, that can easily go on and on; but eventually you’ll want it ripped out, Jesus Christ said, “follow Me”…and when you obey Him, watch the quiet miracles begin to grow. The less burden of sins, the more your heart is free to love and be free to be (His). You’ve hut the ‘real deal’ Barry. It is a cycle breaker.

  74. Fabakary, thank you for that meaningful message. I so appreciate it. Everything is possible when your faith is released, concerning yourself. Your outlook and your walk with Christ. It is impossible to please God without faith…from that point we can grow and grow. Yes, He figured every single detail of our lives before He created this earth, awesome, so man can think till he croaks and still not figure it out, He did that on purpose you know. Thank you again for your words,Fabakary, . We’re never-ever too old to learn.

  75. The desire to earn acceptance is rooted in pride…

Amen Barry, very good word, how SELF is nothing but SELF-ISH, no matter how we may dress it up! How to get off that treadmill, that is the dilemma, and I believe only by a miracle of faith…by His Spirit saith the Lord. We believe, but our unbelief still needs His help…having crossed the Red Sea and come to faith by a miracle, does it seem we need another miracle to get us across the Jordan finally…?

Many good thoughts from others too, fabakery and Joan, bless you.

  77. watchful Apr 5th 2013

Lightning Storm…..just a further thought before I push the “off” button for a while, a question actually, because I am wondering myself…….Since it is God who raises and lowers kingdoms could it just be that the things being exposed is because He is in process of doing just that, lowering one earthly kingdom in judgment, in order to raise another earthly kingdom, all part of His ultimate purposes..?

  78. Andrew Apr 5th 2013

Romans 8 clearly describes walking in the Spirit as walking with a clean consience and a sense of utter “clean-ness” before God.

Only by the Spirit of the Lord can this be a reality in the life of a Christian.

It is real. And e need to preach it

    Bless you!

    Andrew Strom

  79. Barry Schmidt are you in NZ? Are you from SA?

I’m interested to know what you mean by “releasing faith” Is there a biblical explanation ?
I always thought I either had it or didn’t have it. Can I have it & not “release” it?!!!

  80. Marianna Apr 5th 2013

There is no condemnation for those in Christ. He does not look down on our earthly state when we are in Christ. In all of God’s grace lets not forget God has a severe side for the unrepentant world. “Knowing the terror of the Lord” – Paul said. We must grow to know both. What terror those people in Revelation Chapter 6 must be feeling that are crying for the rocks to fall on them just to get away from Him.

There is endless goofball stuff on YouTube, but the Godhealer7 channel is pretty good for general prophecy. The video today was alarming in regards to what is about to poured out on the earth. I don’t know what is up with the head scarf and it sounds like she may be putting a little America-centric spin on it, but a good reminder that God is both a loving father and one who will soon pour out his wrath on the unrepentant wicked.

  81. Barry Schmidt Apr 5th 2013

Ian – you must have me mixed up with what someone else said as I didn’t say anything about ” releasing faith” bro.
    I am Canadian.
But I do believe we can walk in repentance, holiness and enjoy the fullness of the Spirit of Christ Jesus BY FAITH. As we TRUST JESUS to work this in us and through us HE WILL FAITHFULLY LIVE IN US EXPERIENCIALY.

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:3-5 NASB)

Hope this blesses everyone as it blessed me:

  83. IAN…………… blessed.
the desire and the PPOWER to crucify the flesh.
LOVE is all about GOD and the others welfare above our own.
    SIN is all about SELF.
barry did quite well on that part as did watchful.
SEE, LOVE wont condtradict, nor make void any part of GODS law, of the TWO commands which fullfill the law.
any thing contrary does . AND since we all live in bodies of evil flesh. that is in OUR FLESH……
we all NEED exhortation and reminding of both the GOODNESS and SEVERITY OF GOD.
i dont think you disagree with me on this IAN…..
i think you have misunderstood, or assumed i am meaning something else. WE have ALL DONE THAT. so no worries.
BUT do know…………….what i have spoken is TRUTH.
and its ALL BY GRACE. GRACE that DAILY teaches us to DENY all ungodliness…………….all uncleanliness
and GRACE gives us the POWER to do so as well.
LOVE FULLFILLS all. and by GRACE we have the love of GOD shed upon our hearts.
WE must return to good doctrine. the HOLY SPIRIT will give us the TRUTH, UNDERSTANDING , wisdom , knowledge needed.
and all of IT………….is already in the scrips……..
what GOD has said…………….will set you free. HE is HIS WORD.
    HIS WORD is CHRIST………………..
this dont mean the bible is GOD………….it means though
what he has said IS IN IT. and the HOLY SPIRIT WILL OPEN OUR EYES, and we shall learn to walk in wisdom, being made wise unto our salvation, through our faith in CHRIST.
many dont do this………….and wont come to the unity in CHRIST,for many men no longer teach sound doctrine.
AND thus if one is not made wise, in the scrips, by our faith in Christ…………….then they are unwise and will sooon be
decived by the craft and sleight of mens doctrines, which cause error. Ian. be blessed. THERE is no thought in me
which thinks i earn my salvation. not a bit of that.
JUST the deep knowlege of HOW I NEED HIS GRACE DAILY.
TO KEEP me on the path. a COMPLETE dependence upon CHRIST. and PEACE ensues.
BUT there is a NEED to exhort and remind as i have done.
WE, me, you, all of us need exhortations, whether by encouragments , warnings, beholding both the GOODNESS of GOD and severity…………..a reminder to KEEP us in line .
AND we are our brothers keeper.
    Be blessed. To the lady
YES…………… KNOW CHRIST is to have ALL JOY NOW, even admist all darkness………….
WHEN all affections are above……………THIS JOY IS IN US ALL.
and no fear nor worry of anyting. EVEN to die is only gain.
and to live is CHRIST. its a JOY and a BLESSING. amen.

‘So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil…”’
    (1st King 22:8)

Now, what is this ‘spirit of error’ referred to in the Word of God? More than that, why is it that authentic Christians can’t seem to do anything about it? Other than pray for people who have allowed themselves to be deluded by a spirit of error, why is it that authentic Christians cannot do anything about helping them to throw off this deception? Because try as you might, there is nothing you can do or say that will ever effectively teach them to deal with the issues surrounding their error, to deal with what the Word of God really teaches. There is nothing you will show them that will ever change their minds.
Let’s have a look at the Book of 1st John chapter 4, verse 1: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God…”
The first thing we see is discernment is not an option; it is a command. Those who refuse to test and investigate spiritual matters purely on the basis of scripture to see if they are of the Holy Spirit are in open rebellion against the commands of the Lord. Or to simplify it even more, we are talking about the ‘God has given me a word’ versus ‘The Word of God has shown me’ template. It is that simple! Today, through ‘believers’ such as this, the political correctness of the secular world has permeated the church. Today being discerning is labelled being critical, being judgemental or divisive; somehow forgetting that 1st Corinthians 11: 18 & 19 states quite clearly that heresy is supposed to divide:
“For first of all, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you.”
So it seems clear from this scripture, does it not, that these ‘believers’ are deliberately neglecting that we are actually commanded to be discerning.
To make it even more unambiguous if you have one set of believers who preach that self-control is one of the fruits of the Spirit and they are asked to back this up with Biblical Scripture, we can all easily discern that they are approved of by God if they can actually point us to the scripture, which they can because it exists. If, on the other hand, you have another group of ‘believers’ promoting the funky chicken, foaming at the mouth and laughing like a hyena version or that God the Father cheated on his Heavenly goddess to physically impregnate the virgin Miryam and you ask them to back that up, only to watch them take a single piece of scripture completely out the context of the chapter in which it is written or get the often quoted reply of, ‘Oh, it’s not actually in the Bible because God is doing a ‘New Thing’, it’s a brand new revelation from a brand new prophet, don’t you know’ then we can all easily discern that these groups, despite being a wee bit spiritually unwell, are not approved of by God.
It’s not really rocket science, is it?
It is tremendously important for us as authentic believers to commit to memory that Paul clearly points out exactly who the divisive person in a congregation really is, as well as pointing out their motivations for causing such divisions, in Romans 16:17-18:
”Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offences, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.”
Here Paul states that it is the person who is teaching contrary to the doctrines found in the Word of God who is guilty of causing divisions among the assembly, not the person sticking to the path laid out by God in the Bible. Although today you will find that it is actually the person who refuses to add to or take away from the Word of God that is being accused of being divisive, not the person openly exceeding the things which have been written. And despite the myriad well intentioned excuses the divisive person may give for doing so, the reason is clearly stated in the cited passage: by smooth words and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the simple to serve, not the Lord Jesus Christ, but their own bellies, i.e. their greed for worldly health, wealth, and material prosperity.
Notice also, if you will, that being discerning is not only commanded but it is the testing of a spirit, not of a man. We are not about the business of intentionally judging people with this study; we are testing the spirits that motivate them. We are not looking at error with this paper per se, rather we are looking at those who have allowed themselves to be enslaved due to a spirit of error and the inescapable aftermath created by this enslavement, and despite what you may or may not believe in the reading; there is a vast difference. It is not the test of a man to see if he is from God, that’s the fruit of the spirit. This is an examination concerning the command to test the spirits themselves. We are to test the spirits to see if they are from God because “many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” (1st Jn 4:2-3 NKJ)

  85. Marilyn Crow Apr 6th 2013

I`d like to pick up on something that fabakary said. `he that believeth on me (Christ) has everlasting life.` (John 6: 47) You said some good truths, fabakary, `Everlasting life is the greatest of all strength, the most powerful of all powers,…..believing, trusting in the Lord in our daily life…in the fiery trials.

We know that because of God`s mercy through Jesus, we are forgiven of our sin, we are kept from the wrath of God & then wonderfully we are given `eternal life.`

I used to think of `eternal life,` as forever, on into eternity, which of course it is, but then the Lord showed me that it is actually the `quality,` of the life of His Son.

`God has given us eternal life & this life is in His Son.`
    (1 John 5: 11)

Christ, as we know is the source of eternal life. He continually sustains & nourishes us in our life now & throughout eternity.
Christ likens this to Bread. `I am the Bread of Life…the living Bread.`

Bread is bought to nourish physical life but Christ, the bread of God imparts life eternal. The physical bread we eat is from wheat or other grains, grown in the ground from where our bodies are derived. The calcium, silicon, iodine, phosphates etc in an organic form are packed into the wheat in order to build up strength.

In like manner, if we are to become partakers of spiritual life & immortality we must `eat,` the bread of God, which is made up of righteousness, goodness, lovingkindness, graciousness, perfectness, holiness, & such like which result in Christ likeness.

To believe Christ & receive Him is to appropriate & partake of the bread of God. (Christ`s character) which came down from heaven. In doing so the result is life everlasting, because these divine virtues are imperishable. Therefore the gift of God in His great mercy, is eternal life, Christ`s life in us.

As the Apostle Peter said, `He (God) has granted to us His precious & magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature.` (2 Peter 1: 4)

`For if these qualities are yours & increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.` (v. 8)

Unto Him be the glory. Marilyn.

  86. Averyl Apr 6th 2013

GaryB, – thankyou for your advice, sounds good to me! Bless you.

  87. Sorry Barry, the question was to who wrote it. I knew a Barry in SA yrs ago.
Nothing of my past posts was meant to be critical in ANY way
I have no issues with whats been written & heartily go with Anthony’s post. We need sound doctrine, without it it’s like building a house with faulty plans, it WILL fall down.
My concern is how do Christians do all the things many so rightly say we should do? Moses brought the commands on stone with no assistance to keep them. Nothing wrong with the commands they were Holy just & Good. We had now ability to keep them
The danger of just saying what we should do is we can be just like Moses, great commands but no ability to do them. I am not saying we shouldn’t say what the bible says we aught to do.
Many have confused truth with facts. If someone saw you sitting at you computer & you over-heard them telling someone you were sitting at your computer, would they be telling the truth? or would they be merely stating a fact.
Many have rightly quoted that the truth will make you free (not set you free) there’s a difference we’ll see later .
The difference between Moses & the Lords New Commands is that He gives grace/power/ability to walk in them, Moses didn’t, it was all own strength.
The new covenant is ” I will write them on your hearts & CAUSE you (that’s grace) to walk in them.
What causes a mother to willingly give her life for her child or weep with sadness if her child has a problem, but will not do the same for another child? It’s because her child is “written on her heart” & causes her to respond in a particular way.
Knowing the facts alone doesn’t help. Read what the Lord said to the Pharisees who had all the facts:
Joh 5:39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life. And they are the ones witnessing of Me,
Joh 5:40 and you will not come to Me that you might have life.
They wouldn’t come to Him. (Great subject to discuss)
You see the Lord brought Grace & Truth. That is the one fundamental difference between the OT & NT.
He brought grace to walk in His Truth/life
The pharisees had all the facts but were not free just like so many Christians (I’m not talking of salvation here) In fact the Lord said they deserved Hell.
Truth is a person & that’s the Lord Jesus. He came to give us life.
I am walking in the truth that makes me free when I am walking in His grace (by grace) which is when I am being led by His Spirit which is living out His life in me etc etc etc.
I am MADE free as I walk out my salvation in/with Him. It’s a process of living as His grace works with & in me as I am obedient, also by His grace/ability as opposed to being set free which creates the idea of me doing nothing & God serving me & doing all the stuff in me without my involvement just because my doctrine is right.
The Pharisees knew the bible but DIDN’T COME TO HIM. & that’s not a once off thing, that’s a transforming, life giving, continuous walk in Him.
James speaks of faith & works that works is the life/proof of dead faith. Well I believe that truth is the life of dead facts.
The bible of itself cannot help me, its just dead facts, but it is essential to lead me into relationship with the truth, the Lord Jesus.
Anthony thats the subject I think will be excellent. HOW to “come to Him” that the Pharisees missed. How to live BY His grace/ability. How to overcome sin. Obedience & the Bible are an indispensable & integral part of it.

    be Blessed

  88. If your government said there will be no more traffic cops, no more tax inspectors, no more meter maids etc, but you must still obey all the laws, only you will NEVER be checked on, would you:
Keep to the speed limits, diligently pay ALL your taxes, feed the parking meter & all other laws?
You answer shows how badly we need inner transformation. For most I think we’ve joined a club & do our best to obey the rules.
The truth is horrible…. WE LIVE BY FEAR.
Fear of being caught so we do the right thing. Fear of rejection, fear of looking silly….. you name it, our lives are largely controlled by a subconscious fear. THIS is the fear that is cast out when we love perfectly.
We will do ALL to the Glory of God no matter what man does or says or sees.
All I am pointing out is our desperate need of the Lord Jesus life, His grace to help transform us inside.
The how of this is what I am about for the last year of my life in Him after someone asked me the same as I’ve now asked you all
    That’s a great discussion (i think:))
    Be Blessed

  89. fabakary Apr 6th 2013

Amen Marilyn Crow, That is just it. You wrote”I used to think of `eternal life,` as forever, on into eternity, which of course it is, but then the Lord showed me that it is actually the `quality,` of the life of His Son.

`God has given us eternal life & this life is in His Son.`
    (1 John 5: 11)”
To me this awareness helped me a lot, because he told us in John 10v10 that we can have this Life but also MORE ABUNDANTLY. This is where our strength is. Our shepherd feed us only with this “life” as you clearly spoke of the Bread. So the enemy focus is to distract us from feeding , receiving and having More of this everlasting Life, crippling our strength to Love God and our neighbor Purely. But the Lord made it so simple for us,by just believing or trusting in Him , More and more of this Life enters our inner most being. The most amazing aspect of it is we do not see it entering. We only see the impact as we received the power to refuse the Evil and do the Good in the fiery trials we experience in our daily lives. Faith in the Lord keep the Life flowing, enabling us to do the good we once knew but could not do. To try to understand this things with our natural mind is frustration as Joan W wrote:”man can think till he croaks and still not figure it out” . But by believing trusting in the Lord ,we can have we did not understand , How we are strengthen we did not see but by believing and trusting in the Lord in all circumstances we will always find to be our strength, because Life everlasting will be flowing within us.

  90. fabakary Apr 6th 2013

Faith comes from God. So we can ask from God Faith. I also find it that it helps me personally anytime I find it hard to believe the Lord, Praying without weariness have grace me to receive Faith in such trying time. Like in the case of that Widow in Luke 18v1-8. The scripture says the widow was avenged by an Adversary, yet the judge did not immediately open to her the door but by her persistence. Spiritual sometimes in life circumstance we are like a spiritual widow whose husband has died. A widow may had Children before she became a Widow , but he cannot have Children after the same husband died. Children speak of fruits. And sometimes we find ourselves in condition of fruitless life, because the adversary is oppressing us. And it is like we ask the Lord to help us, to change etc and when the answer seemed to delay we cut of all spiritual exercises in discouragement. But the promise us if we did not fed up like that Widow , we will received as it is written. Sometimes this is the one of the way he uses to call us to deeper intimacy and relationship.

  91. Fabakery I agree 100% with you, but the Million dollar question remains, How do I get to “just believe & just have faith”?
If it was just that easy wouldn’t we all be doing it?
Why are we all struggling with it because surely we all know it & have been told & read it a million times?
The simple answer is… by His Spirit or by grace. that’s correct but HOW?
I’m not trying to be difficult but this to me is what preaching should be about.
For example, if I teach on meditation of the Word, I’ll ask for a scripture verse & than close my eyes, focus on God & “meditate” aloud so the folk can see what i’m doing & how to do it. It’s a great help to get them started. Just a small example of 1 thing.
We need to be shown how & helped to do all the things we know to do.
    be Blessed

Ian wrote “Fabakery I agree 100% with you, but the Million dollar question remains, How do I get to “just believe & just have faith”?

Agree so much with you Ian this issues need to be share about. One thing I have realize is Faith is not feeling , is not something I can point you and say here it is. But one thing I have find is the door to have Faith is to DIE WITH CHRIST. To die with Christ is to cease from our own reasoning, our own feeling , our own ideas , and WAIT on Christ. This is faith. This is believing. It is the only way we can received from Christ . It is like passing first through the dark before seeing the Light. In the dark we know nothing , see nothing and feel nothing , we must first pass through that step , to come into the place of seeing , knowing and receiving.I myself am also growing in it. It is not as easy as saying it, but also it is ease if we are willing to DIE.

  93. Marilyn Crow Apr 6th 2013

    Fabakary & Ian.

Christ`s divine nature, the true life that goes on forever because it is imperishable growing in us.

You put it so well, Fabakary, saying,
`The Lord made it so simple for us, by just believing or trusting in Him, more & more of this life enters our inner most being… & we do not see it entering,…only the impact… the fiery trials we experience in our daily lives.`

    & as Ian says, `How do I go to `just believe & just have faith.` &
`that surely is what preaching should be about.`

My husband Trevor says prayer & asking the Lord daily for help, then trusting that that is what He is doing.

For me personally, I find learning more about the Lord, His character & His purposes enlarges my heart to appreciate Him more & more. Also learning to be content, not striving but growing in thankfulness in every day life.

Across the Body there has been a big emphasis of my ministry, my this, my that, but the time is now for His ministry, His character, His plans, His purpose, His mercy, His grace, till we only see Jesus.

Lost in His glory, oh that day is not too far. Marilyn.

Ian, I know what you mean, my dilemma also – I believe it is like when we came to faith in the first place, faith came by hearing the word of God, and in order to hear, it must be preached, and in order to preach they must be sent by God. Am very grateful for the sent ones, just one of many spiritual gifts so we don’t lift up any man or woman, but truly to be appreciated in days of famine of hearing the word pure and undiluted, and we need to hear it since faith comes by hearing. And so this is why also we pray for the Lord to SEND labourers into the harvest field. Asking, seeking, knocking so the door will be opened….once we know our need…. as someone just said above we ask and trust that He is doing it….

Bless you GaryB for sharing that lovely song….

  96. Ian, fakabary, Marilyn, you are on the threshold of LIFE, and life more abundantly. Sometimes we need to stop, take note, and persue the prize. I also enclude Antony here. For a lifetime I did, repeated, ‘strove’ to do what the scriptures told me…and it is now paying those eternal dividends, to know the things and just doing them. Throw it ALL on God and watch Him ‘do it’….now your. personal lives are in place here, Think upon them, see how He has worked on your life in the past, It will make you smile. Every dealing has made you stronger and more intimate with Him….What do you have to lose? His pattern in your life (all of us) is miraculous.. You are all so ‘right on’ in your innate knowledge. Now Ian, soak it in as never before. No matter how we have flopped and blundered, He is and has been always in charge of our lives and taught us every step of the way. Don’t worry about getting too proud and haughty.or cocky. He’s able to bring you down in a pleasing manner, you can’t even imagine. Give all of you to Him, we could never have a more perfect competant Master to lead and guide us. What is pure Trust? It is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Meditate on Him, non other. The Trust and Faith ‘just’ happens, as you are constantly trusting in Him, not you. You don’t have to ‘feel’ it’. You’ll know it; and believe me, you’ll know it.. “He who is in me, is greater than he who ts in this world”

Gotta tell on myself. I was limping around doing my chores and praising my Savior….cooking dinner for a hungry family of five (me included) I poured me a glass of iced tea and went to my chair to sit down and watch the evening news. I was so glad to get off me feet. As I sat down, I clumsily spilled the whole glass of beautiful iced tea. Without missing a beat….I let out an ugly cuss word. Me? Prim and Christly me?…Surely I didn’t say that! The devil made me do it. No, Joanie did it. I felt awful. I live a Holy life, Hello! I repented vigorously. I felt more than awful. I hadn’t said a cuss word for many, many years. I was grieved, God was pleased. Another lesson He taught me….never, ever be to sure of yourself. He showed me, I still have a way to go, in spite of my trust and love and faith and grace and trust and confidence and knowledge? I had pesky inner thoughts of my husband being so lazy, harpy, complaining lump of constant frustration. The praising should have been for Him! Staying married for over 51 years was a miracle in itself. I failed to notice it. Pitiful me. To be able to measure your growth back then to ‘now’ is so precious. I’m getting there the trutle way, sure but slow.

I love this discussion. It’s about what is MOST CRITICAL to our relationship with God: faith in Christ and how that faith comes to us.
ADAM sinned in his heart BEFORE he sinned by breaking the command, “Thou shalt not eat from THAT tree.”
What was Adams heart sin? He didn’t TRUST GOD! His unbelief in God – In a perfect world without sin GOD REQUIRED FAITH AND TRUST in Himself. Thatbid why God never told Adam WHY he must not eat only THAT he must not eat and that he would die if he ate. Then Satan attacked Adam and Eves FAITH AND TRUST in God’s living an wise character. He told Eve God couldn’t be trusted .

THAT is our sin if unbelief because we don’t want to trust God to live- we want CONTROL INSTEAD OF FAITH IN GOD so we would rather be told what to do IN ORDER TO LIVE rather than simply TRUST GOD TO LIVE.
“The righteous shall LIVE BY FAITH”

Not only that but we are so bound in the SIN of unbelief that we DO NOT AND WILL NOT live by faith alone in Jesus. Sin (and especially the propensity to refuse to trust ) is so powerful that ONLY JESUS CAN SET IS FREE AND GIVE US FAITH!
Faith MUST be a given to us as a DIVINE GIFT on a daily basis.
How then do we get this gift of faith? The answer is so simple we in our sinful self reliance often miss it!
Here is the secret to faith: look to Jesus for it . Ask him to help us to trust him. Never try to “work up” faith in Jesus in yourself. Then your faith will be in your OWN FAITH . Simply look away to Jesus and wait for him to produce tho precious faith in you!
What saith the Scriptures about this?
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; (Ephesians 2:8 NASB)
For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness. (Galatians 5:5 NASB)
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2 NASB)
I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5 NASB)
Remember out sin OF TRUSTING OURSELVES is so deeply engrained into our heart that we don’t want to hear that we CAN DO NOTHING WITHOUT HIM- we want God to give us commands SO WE DON’T HAVE TO RELY ON JESUS – an if we finally by His grace realize that is out sin then we will try to PRODUCE OUR OWN FAITH.
This SELF PRODUCED obedienc and SELF PRODUCED faith is what Jesus died to save us from!!!!

  98. Praise the Lord Joan, you had me smiling on the inside and from ear to ear, Love in the Lord, Andrew… 🙂

  99. Amen Barry, Preach it brother… 🙂

    Jhn 10:24 KJV
Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to DOUBT? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

    Jhn 10:25 KJV
Jesus answered them, I TOLD YOU AND YE BELIEVED NOT: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

    Jhn 10:26 KJV

    Jhn 10:27 KJV
My sheep {hear} MY {voice}, and I know them, and they FOLLOW me:

Do a word study in the Greek of the 2 words “hear” and “voice”.
Jesus specifically states MY voice….He does not say the “voice of my sheep” or “the voice of my disciples” or ” the voice of those who follow me” or ” the voice of my pastors, evangelists, prophets, or apostles”.
These positions of the Kingdom were not given until AFTER the Holy Spirit had come.
Therefore, the HOLY SPIRIT is the VOICE we listen to, follow, obey.
If a man/woman preaches or teaches the scriptures WITHOUT the Rhema of the Holy Spirit; WITHOUT the DUNAMIS POWER of the Holy Spirit…….then they are teaching a DEAD word……THAT BRING NO NEW LIFE, NO FAITH, NO INNER TRANSFORMATION.

    Jhn 10:28 KJV
And I GIVE UNTO THEM ETERNAL LIFE; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

    Jhn 10:29 KJV
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

    What is FAITH?

    It is the following SYNONYMS:
Believing; Trusting; Relying upon; Depending upon; Putting Confidence in.

UNBELIEF is the root of ALL SIN.
UNBELIEF was the FIRST sin of Adam and Eve in the Garden.
They did NOT BELIEVE that their Father God was providing for them EVERYTHING THAT THEY NEEDED!
    So therefore they DESIRED MORE.

In a person’s sin nature (their unrenewed mind), they set up IMAGES as to what is GOOD for them and others, and what is EVIL (bad) for them and others.
Then they go to Jesus and the Father and start praying according to these IMAGES.

This is NOT praying according to the WILL of God, even if you have a bunch of scriptures to back you up.
The only way to know the WILL of God for you in everything and every decision made is to HEAR THE VOICE OF JESUS, through the Holy Spirit.

The word in scripture that means IMAGE is IDOL.
When you IMAGINE IMAGES in your mind and focus on them for your personal needs and wants, you are setting up IDOLS in the mind.

All religion is simply this : FAITH in faith, FAITH in OURSELVES and FAITH in what WE think, say and do IN ORDER TO LIVE.
Religion is TRUSTING in OUR OWN FAITHFULNESS . It is trusting in OUR OWN FAITH!
Christianity is “CHRIST – IN -I – ity”
    Jesus plus ANYTHING = RELIGION
JESUS in us plus NOTHING of us= EVERYTHING!!!

  102. You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Even so Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness. Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “All the nations will be blessed in you.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer. For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.” Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “The righteous man shall live by faith.” However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “He who practices them shall live by them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
    (Galatians 3:1-14 NASB)

    How do we BELIEVE MORE?

    Mar 9:24 KJV
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; HELP THOU MINE UNBELIEF.

    Luk 17:5 KJV
And the apostles said unto the Lord, INCREASE OUR FAITH.

Jesus has made it very simple.

    Jam 4:2 KJV
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet YE HAVE NOT, BECAUSE YE ASK NOT.

And without UNDERSTANDING, when Father answers your prayers for increasing faith and belief in Him, we childishly IMAGINE in our minds how He will answer that prayer and RESIST THE VERY THING WE ASKED FOR.

  104. My dear brother’s and sister’s in Christ Jesus,

You are presently discussing the essences and practice of the faith that saves us from ourselves. Do not the heavens declare the glory and the power of the God of the Living? Only the fool denies the fact of the substance.

So then, I ask you sincerely, as it comes down to this one question: Whom do you believe? The teachers who teach out of the blindness of their own philosophical hearts and self determining minds, who in their blindness have seen nothing of substance, or do you believe the Word of the Creator of the heavens and the earth, whereby all things of this universe, visible and invisible, consist of His Word of unknowable Power? Is God a liar or prone to hyperbole when holy, holy, holy Father God Almighty’s living Word says: “Absolutely Amen; I say unto You: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His Blood, you have no Life in you.” (John 6:53-57.) Jesus asks the unbelieving: “Does this [Word] offend you”?  At the Lord’s final Passover meal: Jesus the Christ of God, took [unleavened] bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said: Take and eat, for this is My Body: The Lord would say to all of His Disciples in learning: Yes: Take, and eat for you are a part of My Body that was given for you, so that in living in Me, you may have everlasting Life. Then Jesus took the cup [the 3rd cup of Blessing or Redemption], and after giving thanks to God His Father, He gave it to them, saying, All of you drink from it: For this is My Blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission [obliteration] of sins. (click link for Matthew 26:26-28 with 1st Corinthian passages) The Life is in the blood, because the Soul is the Life that is in the Blood, that enables the body to live, and the Spirit of Life that raised up the Body of Christ Jesus will also raise you up, if the Spirit indwells you. (Click link to see the Soul and the Life.) “Having therefore, brethren, opportunity to enter into the holiest by the Blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He [Jesus Christ] has consecrated [inaugurated] for us, through the veil that is to say, His Flesh; and having a High Priest over the household of God: Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of [true] faith; having our hearts sprinkled [with His Blood] from an evil [or condemning conscience}, and our bodies washed with pure water [of His Word]”. read Hebrews 10:19-and out.

I am your brother in Christ Jesus, and I have seen the sharp two-edged sword of the Spirit, and its Oneness with the Holy Blood of the Word of God that continues to slay the wretchedness of this old earthly creature, whose soul is birthed anew in the Body of Christ Jesus.

  106. Yes, yes Lighting Storm. Good Word. We are sososo busy and excited in the Word at times, we tend to resist the gems we collect. That kinda nutralizes the verse, “Study to show thyself approved.’ When He says He wants, so much, your fellowship, and you listen, your ‘fruit’ of understanding will start to show,, and grow, Amen.

With either teaching or preaching when we hear His voice and especially when we also see Him, does it not make our heart burn within us! It seems to ignite something – faith, hope, desire to be with Jesus, sorrow for the shortfall which becomes evident in His light.

The father of the child in Mark 9 already had faith in Jesus, but needed faith for that specific miracle. Jesus did not rebuke him or condemn him for sorrowfully acknowledging his need and looking to Him. But gave him what he asked for. Hallelujah, in that I am encouraged…

  108. Andrew Apr 6th 2013

It is critical to understand that in the NT, faith is a GIFT from above. In other words it is SUPERNATURAL faith that comes from God. To get more faith, Get FILLED MORE with the Holy Spirit. He is God’s provider of SUPERNATURAL FAITH.

    Bless you!

  109. Watchful: I have taken special notice since, sometime last year a-bouts, you said your interest would be confined to Him and Him alone (paraphraised). It is showing. You truly are growing by leaps and bounds. It’s the assuredness and steady inner knowledge, I love it. Don’t get burdened down with ‘facts’ that keep your mind demanding “what if…?” Only the Savior knows. There are times when He’s not about to tell you. We’re only able to see through the mirror darkly.

And being filled with His Spirit being a big part of that……..thanks also for Romans 8, as it happens it was on my mind to search and read in Romans when I saw your post earlier, so think we’re onto something there! Bless you..

Amen amen amen Andrew! You nailed it there! I dont know about you all but i am so steeped in self trust that it is a scary place to be when we realize even the faith to please God (like love)must be “shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit” it feels SOOOO vulnerable to be so helpless before God.
But I know it is the SAFEST PLACE TO BE!
Even young men grow tired and weary- but they that wait upon The Lord shall be renewed in strength!

What a joy to come & read what others are sharing in the Lord & to see each other grow in this journey. (re: Joan & Watchful)

I have been pondering about, & praying about Jonathan`s mother & realised that it often takes awhile for the knowledge of the Father`s love to go from our heads to our hearts. So I thought this true story that I read today might help.

`A man & his wife were expecting their first child. However a few days after the child was born the mother passed away. the grief of the tragic event was intensified a little later when the father was informed that his little daughter was totally blind.

For the next 16 years no expense was spared in seeking to rectify the condition, but without the slightest relief. At this stage a famous eye specialist from Vienna started a practice in London, The blind daughter was now sixteen & a half years of age, & the father was urged by his friends to take her to the specialist to find out if anything could be done.

At first he was reluctant to venture, lest it might prove to be only another expensive disappointment. However, the insistence of his friends prevailed, & after an examination of the girl`s eyes, the specialist informed him that although a thick film covered the surface of each eyeball, he believed that underneath there was a normal pupil, & behind the eye an unimpaired retina.

`Provided the film is successfully removed without injury to the eyes,` he said, `it will be necessary for the patient to remain in subdued light for 5 to 6 weeks. Are you willing to entrust your daughter to my care for that amount of time?`

Agreement wa reached & after surgery, the father was informed from time to time of the progress made. After 5 long weeks the father was notified that he could see his daughter at the hospital. On arrival he was conducted to a dimly-lighted room, & shortly afterward the surgeon entered with his daughter.

When the surgeon removed the shade from her eyes, she stepped quickly toward her father & throwing her arms round his neck, kissed him repeatedly. He noticed the tears running from her eyes, & intently inquired,`Are you in pain, darling?`

    `No, daddy,` she said.
    `Then why are you sobbing?`
Back came the reply. `To think I have had such a loving father for 16 years & have never before seen his face.`

Have we realised that the heart of God our Father is enlarged toward us? Do we really know Him as the openhearted Father of mercies, or do we go on blindly year by year without realizing that He is generously kind?

For me personally, I am challenged to appreciated the Father`s mercy toward me (& others) & to ask the Holy Spirit to take any `film,` that may hind my spiritual sight.

`May the eyes of our hearts be enlightened to know…….`Marilyn.

  115. Andrew I am sorry I don’t altogether agree with you.
The Bible is unequivocal in it’s statement that faith comes by hearing the rhema word of God.
Faith is not a thing that I have without an objective.
Faith is the substance of what I hope for. The thing I hope for is what I have hope in God for. It’s the evidence of what I don’t see…ie what i am asking for.
I agree one cannot have faith without the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit empowers us to witness & serve & without faith that’s impossible. There are many things I need to increase in my walk with God & doing that, each activity requires a different activity in the Lord, all with the empowering of the Holy Spirit, not the Holy Spirit alone.
I do not believe the scriptures teach that praying for faith increases faith ( I am aware of the boy & his dad & James) I need to pray with faith & the only way to do this is to pray the will of God which is expressed in the word of God, so when I get a rhema word from God from the word of God my faith is built right up for the thing I am inquiring of God about & that faith is the substance of what I hope or am inquiring God for.
All growth in God comes by being exersized/practicing (as a doctors practice) in your gifting or whatever, faith included.
Hear Gods rhema word & your faith is immediately built. Ask any person who has ever done exploits for God & they will tell you they heard from God & acted on it with great faith.
We cannot argue with the clear statement that Faith comes by hearing the rhema word of god.
Hearing God is our problem, it takes time, patience, persistence, endurance, sensitivity, pure motives etc etc ETC & THATS THE PROBLEM…. theres “no easy way” to grow in God. If there was we would all be spiritual giants
    Be Blessed

  117. Christian journalist Apr 7th 2013

Friday, April 5, 2013, Dave Hunt drew his final breath and entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His beloved wife Ruth was at his side.

Born in 1926, David Charles Haddon Hunt enjoyed the advantages of a godly upbringing and placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord in his early teens.

As a young man, he served in the military toward the end of World War II. Afterward, he attended UCLA and received a degree in mathematics. It was during that time that he met the love of his life, Ruth Klassen. In 1950, they were married, and since both loved the outdoors, they enjoyed a beautiful honeymoon hiking in the High Sierras—perfect for two young people madly in love and with very little money to their name. Marriage was soon followed by the birth of two sons and two daughters. Ruth was a busy mother and also a gifted writer herself. She had a tremendous interest in and knowledge of history, a gift that would help Dave further down the road. Dave’s own career path led him into a position as a CPA/management consultant and later as the manager of several corporations.

Along with church-related activities, Dave initiated and became involved in numerous campus ministries and meetings in their home, with a special outreach to Jewish young people and foreign students. Many of these have stayed in touch with Dave and Ruth through the years, fondly recalling their times spent in Bible studies at the Hunts’ house.

Dave and Ruth also traveled abroad, spending time in various locations throughout Europe, meeting with believers there and ministering in many ways while raising their own family. Dave also brought Bibles and other materials into the Soviet Union during a time when it was very difficult to do so. Throughout his later years, he and Ruth traveled extensively as he was invited to speak in churches and fellowships, large and small, all over the world. Often they stayed in people’s homes, dining with them, learning their customs, and sharing God’s Word and God’s love.

The desire of Dave’s heart was ultimately to be involved in fulltime ministry, especially since he saw firsthand everywhere he went the breaking down of the true church as the world began to work its way into her midst. He began to write in 1973, warning believers about the incursion into Western culture and into the church itself of Eastern religion, psychological and selfist philosophies, ecumenism, and other unbiblical teachings.

The ministry of The Berean Call was founded by Dave in 1992. It grew out of a previous organization, of which Dave was also a founding member since 1986. With T.A. McMahon working alongside him at The Berean Call, Dave was able to share his love for and defense of Christ in the subsequent newsletters, books, videos, and speaking engagements that resulted from this ministry. Dave and T.A. wrote three books together, including the best-known The Seduction of Christianity , which was groundbreaking in its boldness, exposing false teachings in the church and daring to identify the names of the ones behind the deception.

By the early 2000s, Dave’s love for Christ and his desire to defend the name of the Lord had grown even stronger, and his concern over Islamic politics and religion are reflected in many of his articles, lectures, books, and interviews.

Then Richard Dawkins and the “new atheists” came onto the scene with a vengeance, seeking to destroy the very concept of God in the minds of everyone. Dave began to write and teach and speak more passionately than ever about the absolute truth that is in the Word of God and our need to immerse ourselves in it daily in order to prevent being taken up in the evolutionist delusion that is sweeping the world.

One of Dave’s favorite activities was to see whom God would seat next to him on airplanes as he traveled and spoke. He often said that he “could prove the existence of God” just by these providential occurrences. While writing about Islam, he would end up seated next to a Muslim who didn’t really understand what Islam was about but was eager to hear the difference between the Bible and the Qur’an. When Dave was writing about creation vs. evolution, the Lord would bring him, as a seat companion, an atheistic scientist who thought he had all the answers and was very surprised that there was another verifiable explanation to this universe.

Dave’s bold yet loving approach to any situation allowed him entrance into these conversations where many others would have been shut out. His love for Jesus, for Israel, and for people in general was obvious to all. His enthusiasm for the truth, along with his anger over the sin and wickedness that he knew was robbing people of what God wanted for them, flamed his desire to share the Lord with anyone with whom he had contact.

At least 4 million copies of his books have been sold, many of them translated into more than 50 languages. They include: The Cult Explosion; The God Makers (with Ed Decker); The Seduction of Christianity (with T.A. McMahon); Global Peace and the Rise of Antichrist; Peace, Prosperity, and the Coming Holocaust; The New Spirituality (with T.A. McMahon); Whatever Happened to Heaven?; Occult Invasion; A Woman Rides the Beast; A Cup of Trembling; In Defense of the Faith; An Urgent Call to a Serious Faith ; To Russia with Love (with Hans Kristian); What Love Is This?; Countdown to the Second Coming; Seeking and Finding God; Honest Doubts; Judgment Day!: Islam, Israel, and the Nations; Yoga and the Body of Christ; and his final book, Cosmos, Creator, and Human Destiny.

He also wrote two novels, The Mind Invaders (formerly The Archon Conspiracy ) and Sanctuary of the Chosen, along with a children’s book called The Money Tree , illustrated by his daughter Karen.

This is by no means a complete listing of all of Dave’s works. One of his videos, Israel, Islam & Armageddon, has become a tremendous tool for churches and for anyone interested in helping to spread the truth about events prior to and since the attack on the World Trade Center. His video A Woman Rides the Beast is a favorite among those who are witnessing to Catholics, a group for whom Dave had a deep love and sorrow, desiring to see them come to the knowledge of the truth.

Dave Hunt’s own drive to find and then deliver the truth is evident in everything he did. His impeccable research and recognized scholarship were based on in-depth studies of original documents and publications, interviews with key experts from around the world, and extensive travel—including to South America, Australia, Europe, India, and throughout the Middle East.

Dave has left us a legacy of inestimable value. We are blessed to be able to see and hear and read what he has taught about the evidence for God in a breathtaking number of materials. From explaining about the history of Christianity, to exposing the deception that has crept into the church, to teaching about the prophecies that are being fulfilled even today, this humble, brilliant man will go on teaching us for a very long time. We look forward to the day when we will see him again.

    Please pray for his family.

Thank you for your prayers for my mom! I truly appreciate the prayers and support.

Thank you Marilyn for that story! It was very encouraging!

It has been a difficult few days for my mother as she is coming to understand the extent of how badly she has been “scapegoated” by her parents, husband and family.

When someone has been blamed and shamed their entire life for the mistakes and sins that other people have made, it becomes very difficult to feel or know the Love of God. She truly has an “abused mentality” where part of her doesn’t even feel right unless she is being mistreated by her family. It is heavy, heavy bondage and it is all she has ever known since she was a child.

Your continued prayers and support are ever so appreciated as God is giving us revelations and understanding into her situation.

God bless you for your kindness.

  119. We pray now Father that Your Tangible Presence will be felt by both Jonathan and his mother… That they will know Your Tangible Presence with them… Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty… Freedom… Let them know right now wherever they are Your Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit dwelling and hovering over wherever they are right now and confirming Your word to them that You have loved them with an everlasting love and drawn them with cords of lovingkindness, in the Mighty Name of Jesus… Thank You Lord… 🙂

Praying the Lord to show Himself to your mom as He is Jonathan, to dispel any wrong beliefs, and show her the truth which heals the breach, and to come alongside and comfort…… Praise Him for His goodness! and God bless you both..

  122. watchful Apr 7th 2013

I think that the one does not have to negate the other Ian, faith cometh by hearing, but the faith He gives us is surely by His Holy Spirit….

  123. Absolutely Watchful. It comes 100% by His Holy Spirit, but the way it comes by the Spirit is thru His rhema word. Like salvation comes by grace thru faith & grace being the working of the Holy Spirit.
As Andrew said, it’s all miraculous, but we need to do what God says then He does the miraculous.

  124. Lightning Storm Apr 7th 2013

God is God. He can answer prayers any way He wants to.

If He has told us to ASK….then we ASK.

He can answer through rhema…which is the Holy Spirit enlightening our understanding and giving us revelation, OR He can answer through circumstances, situations, people, or deliverance from FEARS AND WOUNDS OF THE HEART, or through REPENTANCE.

He is God….He CANNOT AND WILL NOT be put in a box.

  125. Lightning Storm Apr 7th 2013

PS…..all the ways that I listed that God could answer our prayer for more faith or to help our unbelief, are all answered by and through the SUPERNATURAL POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

  126. Barry Schmidt Apr 7th 2013

I went to bed anxious that somehow if we place all of our trust in the grace of God that sin working in us being as insidious as it is will use that grace as an excuse to become lazy and self indulgent. In other words I went to be with more faith in sin than I had faith in Gods grace.

Really it came down tho this: I trusted in my own fear of sinning than I trusted in Gods grace. Then I remembered Gods promises regrading grace and His covenant promises regarding causing me to walk in His statutes and to write His laws upon my heart and mind so that by grace sin would not rule my life.
Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. (2 Peter 1:1-4 NASB)

Then this paste of Scripture came quietly and powerfully to my mind! I realized that we can plead Gods promises whenever our faith in His grace wanes.

It is believing WHAT GOD SAID that pleases God and credits us with righteousness. Abraham had nighty faith to obey God and leave everything at age of 75 to follow God to a place where Abe didn’t even know where he was going. This was an astounding faith that Abe displayed and acted on in obedeinec.BUIT WASN’T UNTIL YEARS LATER THAT ABRAHAM WAS JUSTIFIED AND CREDITED WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS – IT WASN’T UNTIL ABRAHAM BELIEVED WHAT GOD SAID AND PROMISED THAT HE WAS CREDITED WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS.

This tells us we can have faith for obedience, we can have faith for provision, we can have faith for following God into the unknown BUT UNTIL WE BELIEVE WHAT GOD SAYS WE DON’T YET HAVE JUSTIFYING FAITH!
What we do with the commands of God may be awesome and good but what we do with THE PROMISES OF GOD WILL SAVE US !!!

  127. Johnathan, Amen to Andrew J’s words to God. I know the abuse darkess is monsterous, but God is much greater and more able to rip those bindings to shreds. Believe that. Those who are in bondage from abuse must forgive. The heart is so different from the mind. God sees everything; He will do the right thing. Believe that, oh, believe that. Faith it’s called. My best love and hope is with you. Do not stress, do not fear. Hard thing to ask, isn’t it. Nothing is impossible with our Lord. What a beloved son you are.

  128. Barry Schmidt Apr 7th 2013

Ian- if it is as you say that faith always comes by hearing the “rhema” word of God then what would you do with these biblical statements?

But I say, surely they have never heard, have they? Indeed they have; “T heir voice has gone out into all the earth, A nd their words to the ends of the world.” (Romans 10:18 NASB)

Notice here Ian this statement comes right after the verse you are rearing to:
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17 NASB)

While you are right in saying that hearing the rhema word of God produces faith in Gods elect from among the Jews and the Gentiles – the rhema word of God can be heard by all the others and PRODUCE NO FAITH WHATSOVER!
I think you need to qualify your statement within the confines of Gods chosen people when you say that the rhema word produces faith. According to this passage the rhema word of God produces hardness of heart and stubbornness in everyone else.

The Bible truth is that God is the boss of who is given the gift of faith and who doesn’t . Hearing His rhema word is no guarantee rather being a recipient of His Sovereign mercy is the only only guarantee faith will be produced by hearing His word.
In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice. just as it is written, “G od gave them a spirit of stupor, E yes to see not and ears to hear not, D own to this very day.” “L et their eyes be darkened to see not, A nd bend their backs forever.” (Romans 11:5, 8, 10 NASB)

  129. Lightning, God is not in a box but He does act according to His Word, & we will do well to obey it & not do as we like & say “God is loving & graceful & He will answer my prayer”.
Barry, you’re right. My post was just to say how faith comes, not all the negatives that are possible.
The bible is a great book leading us to life, but that does not exclude the fact that it is used very badly to justify many wrong things

  130. Barry Schmidt Apr 7th 2013

  131. Barry Schmidt Apr 7th 2013

Amen Ian! Gods word will indeed be abused and twisted and neglected even to the end of the age but TO US WHO BELONG TO HIM – His word is the source of our faith, the sweetest of honey, the foundation of our hope, the guarantee of His promise and the place where we find, meet, see amd fred off of our precious Lord Jesus Christ.

  132. It is proud not to forgive others after we have been forgiven by God…

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
    (Colossians 1:13-14 NASB)

His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

  135. Lightning Storm Apr 7th 2013

Hearing God’s voice is not that hard, it is dying to SELF that we RESIST.

Jesus is talking to us continuously, its just that our FLESH is so LOUD, we do not hear Him.

Fabakary mentioned a few posts back that we must DIE TO SELF.
The flesh will not die if we keep indulging its desire to have its own way.

We have to quit STRIVING to KNOW HIM MORE DEEPLY, HEAR HIM, FOLLOW HIM, and SERVE HIM BY the might and strength of the knowledge we accumulate in our Natural minds.

It is our SPIRIT that communes with God….a 2 way conversation and/or RESTING IN HIS PRESENCE allowing Him to minister to us ANYWAY He wants to.

It is NOT any more possible for us to RENEW our Natural minds than it was for us to REGENERATE our fallen/corrupt spirits.
Our spiritual transformation begins with the Power of the Holy Spirit and CONTINUES THROUGH THE PROCESS by the Power of the Holy Spirit and is completed by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

What is Natural in us is corrupt…the Fallen Nature.
We live in the kingdom of darkness (the world)… is BOTH NATURAL AND SPIRITUAL.
What we see with our eyes in the Natural is the kingdom of darkness. Sometimes the spiritual kingdom of darkness is manifested in the Natural…..seeing demons, demonic activity…etc.

Thank you Andrew J. Horton for that great song by Matt Redman.

Now just a few thoughts on faith to add to others. I like Barry Schmidt`s thought, `whenever our faith wavers,` showing the aspect of duration, with the sense that we need to develop constancy.

When the Lord told the disciples in the boat amid the storm, `O ye of little faith,` (Matt. 8: 26) the Lord used a word that He made, `oligopistos,` meaning duration, brief, short. This I believe shows that as we mature in the Lord we are able to sustain, by God`s Holy Spirit our trust, belief, faith in God through the trials of life, longer.

The word Christ made also has a meaning of incredulous, ie, lacking confidence in Christ. There was the creator & controller of the wind in the disciples midst & yet they let their feelings of fear overcome their knowledge of Him. We, like them, need to grow in the knowledge of Him so our heart can be enlarged & our faith, trust develop constancy.

We know that if we become identified with Christ we are sure to experience turmoil & tempest, but that He has promised to never leave us or forsake us. He permits peril, knowing full well that it will promote prayer, & also opens a way for Him to demonstrate the majesty of His mighty power.

The Lord intends that these tests of faith should turn to testimonies, so that we are able to recount our experiences of deliverance in telling others of His trustworthiness, especially in times of distress. How else may the virtuous riches of character be developed in us apart from trial, as we all know.

The Apostle Peter speaks of this as the `proof of your faith….tested..` (1 Peter 1: 7) & later in his second book, `in your faith….perseverance….`(2 Peter 1: 5 & 6)

Together we go thr`…….. In His care, Marilyn.

  137. Amen Marilyn, I really enjoyed your thoughts on faith especially,

The Lord intends that these tests of faith should turn to testimonies, so that we are able to recount our experiences of deliverance in telling others of His trustworthiness, especially in times of distress. How else may the virtuous riches of character be developed in us apart from trial…

    Andrew J. Horton

I`ve been to Christchurch in the early `80`s after I went to Bible College at Te Nikau at Paraparaumu in the North Island. I do so love New Zealand as my grand parents lived over there having come from Scotland via Melbourne Australia.

I`ve also just looked at your site & will pop in there to read regularily. Keep up the good work, regards, Marilyn.

  144. fabakary, I sent my email to you via private way. If you didn’t get it, let me know and I’ll get someone here with more computer savvy to help me. My son-in-law has a degree in those infurnal, but necessary, machines.

  145. ITS easy to forgive…………..when ONE realizes the MOUTAIN of sin they committed against both GOD and man……
and FOR CHRISTS sake alone are forgivne……..
When one sins against you………………..forgive that grain of sand
for a moutain of it was forgiven unto us.
ONE grain of sand…………………takes many to make a moutain.
YET at least i was forgiven of that much against both man and GOD. SO whomever does us evil.
FORGIVE THEM and PRAY blessing upon them.
wanting ONLY the salvation of their soul.
    SIMPLE LOVE………….conguers all evil flesh……
that is why i often speak out against those who feel JUSTFIED in taking the life of their enemy even in self defense.
GOD did not take your life o vain man…………….
SO resist NOT EVIL………..if a man approaches you with a gun.
EITHER RUN or let him shoot you. And if you have enough time
    while dying……………..PRAY HE IS FORGIVNE.
THANKS for the good word on forgivness andrew.
IT lit me up on fire again. amen.

  146. TO the LORD be all glory and thunderous praise…….
HE has taught our heart to HOPE in HIM……….
HE alone is worthy of all praise………..
and come what may to GOD be all glory.
    Forgiven of all my evil…………………..
the price paid in full…………a debt of unending
    praise is due HIS name………
SO unto the LORD sing a song…….
and have a melody in your heart all the day long
this life is but a vapor…………and soon shall fade away
BUT the WORD of our GOD endures forever,
Sing a song of thanksgiving and be quick to forgive all men
the trespasses. For by Grace i do remember how i was FORGIVEN of a moutain……….and FOR CHRISTS sake
, FOR Christs sake, because of what HE DID
and GODS grace to enlighten my eyes to see and believe,
and am kept continually in HIS GRACE.
BY HIS GRACE, let us abound in HIM , through all times
looking through the lens of faith………………the substance of things hoped for, not yet seen.
FOR here we have no continual city…………….but we await
    one to COME………..ON HIS DAY………….
    let all affections be above,
and even through the loss of all things, lackings , persecutions
be content………………and you will TRULY FIND ye can REJOICE through these times. FOR not only is it appointed unto us to belive in HIM, but also to SUFFER for his name sake.
IT truly is the righteous judgment of GOD that we suffer for the kingdom. BUT NOT in vain………………..BUT in HOPE of the reward eternal given us on HIS DAY.
LAMBS ARISE and cast aside all things, count the loss of all things as nought……………..for the days be soon upon us
that persecutions will grow. even now are they preparing the world to unite against biblical christainty…..
though now its in words, peace, unity, examples, mockings etc
    SOON it will be ACTION.
BUT fear NOT…………………………OUR FAITH in HIM shall overcome this world…….and has………………..thus make your calling and election sure………..abound in the fruits of the spirit
do those things……………and ye shall never fall.
HOLD no grudges against any………………be quick to forgive
    as YOU have BEEN FORIVEN………….
and be ye ready………………….for in a hour you think NOT
    the SON COMES………………

  147. DO you want the JOY of the LORD………..
then let the SALVATION OF GOD be YOUR JOY……….
REJOICE in the fact you have been forgivne……..
REJOICE in the fact that tis only by GRACE in Him
we still believe as we do…………….
REJOICE in the salvatoin of GOD
and nothing will keep joy from springing forth in you.
SING as did DAVID…………WHO CRIED , LORD send NOW proseperity………..
and the answer………….BLESSED BE HE WHO COMES in the NAME of the LORD……..
THAT is OUR PROSPERITY ………………and THAT is OUR HOPE. Come what may…………………TO GOD BE ALL GLORY. amen.

  148. WHAT is our prosperity ………………KING JESUS…………..
all else shall fade………………BUT not our durable riches
HE is our salvation, our wisdom, knowledge,
the Light in all darkness to guide our way…………..
    REJOICE in the LORD…………….
    forget all else………………materials, etc
REJOICE in the LORD……………and BE a help to those in NEED.
those who truly do lack food and clothes and lack the salvation of GOD. LET the praise of our lips be unto HIS GLORY
and tell the earth and all that has breath
of HIS WONDERFUL doings, HIS salvation.
TO THE Lord be the glory………….
    again…………come whatever may……………through it all
TO GOD be all GLORY. so i sing…………..PRAISE THE LORD. amen.

  149. REJOICE in the LORD………….and again i say REJOICE…….
    good night all lambs…………..
you are loved and i pray only for your welfare in Christ.
Read the bible…………….and read in daily and obey all that GOD has said……………….
I leave you all with this last word………
REJOICE IN THE LORD…………………and whatevercomes our way……………TO GOD be all GLORY………….HIS WILL BE DONE.
SING lambs…………..arise………….you have all reason to sing and rejoice……………..HE HAS GIVEN US HOPE.
and our salvation IS OF HIM and in HIM and through HIM.
stand by faith…………..and stand UPON THE ROCK.
SO rejoice in the SALVATION of our GOD…………..
and PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME. amen.

  150. Praise the Lord Randall, it just came out of me this morning (that word on forgiveness)… 🙂

  151. Marilyn Crow Apr 8th 2013

How wonderful to lift up the name (character) of our Lord, Randall.

Mercy, Grace & Faith, (Hope & Love) the foundational truths we have been looking at. These are God`s provision for us in this journey through life. I thought I`d try & put them in a picture story so I could understand them better. Hope it makes sense.

`Once I was in a mud pit of sin. I cried to God who in His great mercy picked me up, washed me clean, (through the blood of Jesus) & set me on a race track with my very own lane ahead of me.
As I moved along it seemed to me that I was hobbled, like a three legged race, (but My yoke is easy is the reality…). Sometimes I would pull ahead & stress & strain falling over, till my Lord (the One guiding me) reached down & set me on my feet again.

“Use the special glasses I gave you,” He said to Me. Then I realised that those special glasses (eyes of faith) enabled me to see Him more clearly. So as I begin to look at Him, learn His ways & how He operates I now am able to run my race better.

When more obsticles come along I now try to work with Him more, being strengthened by His grace. And because I am growing in `seeing,` Him more clearly I can go through trials & difficulties much better.

As a previous runner, `Paul,` wrote in a note, `I`ve learned to be content in every situation.` That`s a good guide from one who has been there & finished.

When I come to the end of my `race,` I know it is just the beginning, for my hope is to be like Him, with my heart changing daily, having more care & compassion, (love) for others. And so –

    `The image that is showing,
    comes clearer by the day,
    As God unfolds His wisdom,
    His time, His way.`

So let us press toward the mark of the on top calling…
    Looking unto Jesus. Marilyn.

  152. That’s beautiful Marilyn, I felt as I was driving home that the Lord really loves your submission, your submission to Him, Just wanted to encourage you, Love in the Lord, Andrew… 🙂

    Good night to all. Marilyn.

  154. fabakary Apr 8th 2013

That wonderful Joan W, have sent you the email and hope it reaches you.
Friends it is blessed to read all this beautiful posts from all this exchanges am reading this morning.Posts about forgiveness, Faith , hearing God from all your people is just refreshing. We should ever be grateful for this kind of opportunities. And we should use every opportunity we have wisely and not to take things for granted, for it is today we know, not tomorrow.. The different between the wise and foolish virgins is the wise use the opportunity they had , while the foolish took things for granted. The wise bought the oil at the right time.A time may come when you are separated from the brethren in a place like this , life circumstances making it impossible and it is like “oh i will have act differently , use those opportunities that I have to feed from the hand of the brethren more gratefully. ” And like the foolish virgin , we cannot have that opportunity we once take for granted again.Naturally you cannot know how much you love a dear one more than the day he or she died.
I once heard a Dream, It is a figurative dream so I do not know the exact interpretation of the dream , but I am sure the principle can be applied in different circumstances. In Part of the dream , Here was a a wilderness, full of fruitful tress . Different kind of brethren were eating the fruits, it came at a time people took things for granted. The I was brought into the wilderness. In the dream I was also looking for fruits , I was amaze when I came to see how fruitful this wilderness was , but after seeing those i met in the wilderness not eating I was amazed and ask them “why are you not eating the fruits . They said “oh we have eat this fruits yesterday, we are okay. Take and eat . Then I stated eating the delicious fruits. But someone near me told me ” do you see this fruitful land , a time will come when there will be no fruits to eat , take some of the fruits and keep them for the future” It was hard for me to believe, the man speaking to me. No sign can tell you that will be so. Nonetheless I obeyed the man and keep some of the fruits. The somehow I sure myself somewhere.when I return back to the same fruitful wilderness , all the place was full of wild tree, no man live there again. The brethern were no more to be found again. The only fruits that I had to live on was the one I kept. The battle became very personal and what will see me through is the fruits that i kept in those fruitful days. Dream End.
So I believe in a place like this, all the sharing that is done here with the holy spirit , is fruits that we all need to heed and see how they will be applied in our practical lives in the days of trials when no brother or sister will be near you to encouraged you. Stay bless all.

  155. Truthseeker Apr 8th 2013

1 Corinthians 4 verse 2 says thus – “moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”

Psalms 24 verse 1 declares this “the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”

John 10 verse 10 shares this “the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it] more abundantly.”

While Ephesians 5 verse 11 encourages to “take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.”

Whilst we live under the Grace of God, those who call themselves christians should not take this for granted. Many folk whether they be christians or not have dismissed the judgement of Almighty God due to this – people cannot see the wood from the trees! So instead they make up excuses to avoid issues that surround them, what goes on in the christian church, and what is happening to their countries.
To the many issues occurring, some have no consciousnesses to the effect as “this or that does not concern them.”
But it does concern those who claim to be following Christ as His followers are expected to be His stewards when it comes down to protecting His creation and the earth they dwell upon.
The Bible says that God expects, even demands, that we be stewards of His creation. Scripture is undisputable. God created the different species of plants and animals, blessed them, protected them and made a covenant with them.
Every time we, as humans, drive a species to extinction, we are stating that what God created, we can destroy. There is no scripture to support that view. Every time a species goes extinct, we are defaulting on the account that God has called us to manage. We are at the crossroads, able to choose to save or to destroy. It is our choice. The Bible is clear that creation expresses Gods wisdom and power. Christians are called to be stewards, to nurture, to protect, to preserve His creation.
Stewardship is one of the predominant themes of the Bible, and yet is is often overlooked or minimized in discussions about the Christian life. The Scriptures say a great deal about stewardship because it affects virtually every aspect of our earthly existence. To the extent that we put these biblical principles into practice, we will enjoy the freedom and fulfillment that comes only from being
    Christ’s servants – see John 12 verse 26 and Colossians 3 verse 24.
Hyper grace has replaced many aspects how the christian church should live. If fact, the teaching is on par as with the false prosperity doctrine. One can do and practice things, and continue to make mistakes, even to the extent when these are contradictory to the Word of God. The emphasis is that christians are under the Grace of God. How foolish this has become!
Brethren have been involved with three incidents concerning stewardship. When approaching the local churches, their requests have been ignored or with the excuse “these doe not concern us.”
Take two of them involving the destruction of wild life habit and protected species. One of them has been the taking of land by a developer. The developer has destroyed wild life because of a private road needed to complete their housing estate. They did this without permission or consulting the local community. They sterilised and santised the piece of land killing off and destroying the wild life in the process. The developer was caught and now has to reinstate the land but cannot restore the wild life they destroyed. The local churches ignored this situation and would not help out or get involved due to the attitude of “this was no concern of theirs.”
The other one was about turning an established wild life sanctury into a skate park. Plans were drawn up and the reason for doing this was because the planners said that the land was available and not much wild life existed. How wrong they were, for records showed on the local authority records that the land was deemed critical natural asset, abundant with wild life, and used for habitat. The local churches did not get involved as “this was no concern of theirs.”
The third incident concerned the building of houses on established and well known flood plains. Those in authority have turned a blind eye to this resulting in a number of consequences over the last twenty years. Flooding has become a major issue in my country with home owners and properties being refused insurance.
When the Romans conquered my country they had the common sense of surveying the land and not to build on flood plains. Roman maps have depicted this with accurancy.
My city has a well known flood plain and the current occupants are farmers. Farming on this land has been so for a number of centuries. Since the 1960s, this land has been bought up by developers with the proviso that farmers would sell up when development commences. Plans have been submitted by approval of the local council to build over 5,000 new homes on this flood plain. Even the Envirormental Agency has advised not to build on this flood plain. But greed takes precedence over common sense and now the planning department has begun the process for the planning application given by one major developer to be approved.
Brethren have voiced their opinions and concerns about building homes on flood plain and have quoted the scripture of Matthew 7 verses 24 to 27…
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
But what do the local churches say about the situation and which have been published in the media? The flood plain is “no concern of theirs” for the development could have a number of new churches built and those buying the new houses may be christians who are most likely to become members or attend the already established churches. No mention about what happens when it floods. How foolish and how ignorant people have become!
The secular world is not bothered what christians do and how they behave, unless it affects them. In everything around us, in print, TV and in media we are encouraged to live for ourselves, to take care of number one – to place our own needs, desires and wants first. By ignoring commandments to serve and place others before us, sin is produced in our daily living. This in turn will isolate us from Almighty God and those dear to us who can also help, encourage and uplift us as we live day to day. God did not create believers to be disobedient; we were created to serve Him. For we as believers who are washed in the precious blood of Christ are to be salt and light to the world.
But then, these three incidents highlights where churchianity has replaced christianity. For the church lacks stewardship of His creation, and for being a servant of the King, that has been put in the pending tray whereby many are playing the game called religion.
What has become a laughing stock are those who are claiming so much for Jesus and suppose to be taking authority on physical and spiritual matters, when it comes down to these three issues affecting communities, they turn a blind eye, ignore the consequences, and come up with excuses that “they are of no concern of theirs.” And some charismatic people are proclaiming that they are coming back to reign in Christ, they will be given special positions of authority, and yet, refuse to be His stewards whilst alive and living on earth.
Christians cannot just go on their merry ways and pretend that they have no responsibility toward to His creation and sharing the Good News to the lost. For it is their duty and responsibility to become Christ like. In reading 1 Corinthians 10 verse 24 “people should be concerned about others and not just about themselves.”

This really has become a garden in the mist of the wilderness for me, my love and greetings to everyone this morning….I can so relate to your dream fabakery. There may come a time when we are scattered so make the most of this fruit and glean and give thanks to God while we are able to be here….and i bless Andrew very much for hosting this site, there is so much more to hospitality than what we think of as a domestic chore….both Abraham and Lot can show us what is involved in the gift of hospitality: protection, refreshment and rest for the journey, and I’m pretty sure Andrew has even been sometimes entertaining angels here unaware!

There have been so many good things coming forth, thank you Father for the beautiful gifts you give to your people, your children. In you we are blessed.

I received this word yesterday and submit it for testing:

” I freely extend my grace and I command that my servants preach my grace. My grace is manifold. By it I freely forgive, accept and propitiate without cost or prejudice. By My grace I also motivate and empower my people. Many are afraid to preach the former but only emphasis the latter.
Do not be afraid to emphasize the former. For My forgiving and accepting grace tests the conditon of a man’s heart like no other. If a man’s heart has been renewed by My Holy Spirt my forgiving and accepting grace will cause him to fully embrace and pursue my motivating and empowering grace. If a man’s heart is unregenerated that man’s wicked heart will be exposed by my forgiving and accepting grace. For such a man will use my grace as a lisence to indulge his flesh. Nothing exposes a mans heart like my grace . Preach my grace and hearts will be laid bare before you.”

If this word is a true word then preaching the message of grace is like putting fertilizer on the crop of souls. The fertilizer of grace will cause the WHEAT to sprout up quickly and produce the crop of the LORD. The fertilizer of grace will also cause the TARES to spring up and produce the crop of the devil quickly.

Could it be tha the message of Gods grace will be THE LORDS LAST DAY MEANS TO BRING THE HARVEST TO FRUITION?
Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also. The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ And he said to them, ‘An enemy has done this!’ The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.”‘” (Matthew 13:24-30 NASB)

And look at this word regarding the last day “house of The Lord”
Notice the key ingredient (cap stone) which Zerrubbel (Jesus the Govenor) will use to finish HIS LATTER HOUSE WHICH WILL BE FILLED WITH GLORY!!!

Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”‘” Also the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. (Zechariah 4:6-9 NASB)

  161. Barry Schmidt Apr 8th 2013

Is not the current Tsunami of Grace teaching a global move of the Spirit of God who is The Lord of the harvest? Is not this message of grace gone viral A KEY SIGN THAT THE END IF THE AGE AND THE HARVEST IS IMMANENT???
Does not the same Bible which calls the “gospel of the kingdom” also call it the “message of grace”?

This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14 NASB)

  162. As with an amnesty given to felons, the former past is completely done away with, as in obliterated, when the law breakers come into the authorities and agree to the written terms of the published pardon. Certainly, with a new start and guidance, the former law breakers will not go back to their old destructive ways that would void the amnesty provisions.

And so it would be for all of the rebellious of humanity, who in hearing of God’s Good News of amnesty for all, would come and willingly accept the conditions of the Almighty’s pardon through the mediation of the Son of Man and the eternal Son of God, Christ Jesus.

Our gift of faith in God’s good will is signed in the earth with the poured out Life Blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, and those given amnesty in their returning to the Almighty, will confirm God’s abundant pardon for a beginning New Life in the risen Christ, with their word of faith, followed with a baptism into the Spirit’s cleansing Fountain of Life within God’s Christ. God’s amnesty provides for the remission or obliteration of all past sins through the cleansing Water of Jesus Christ’s poured out sacrificial Life Blood. And now behold, we all have a new beginning of faith or rebirth into the Foundation of the Perfect Love of God in Christ Jesus. Individually, with our coming into acceptance of God’s gift of amnesty for all of our past sins through a new trusting faith in God with His sacrifice of His Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ, we are given a new position of justification with God, by God and His mediating grace and guidance within Christ Jesus.

Whoa, but wait a moment. With today’s failures and no doubt tomorrows, I don’t feel all that good about my self: I’ve still got this huge problem within me! The miracle of rebirth in the spirit of my mind did not take place. I still remember me and my natural desires for self satisfaction. Now, the good, that I certainly desire to do, is overcome by the billions of unregenerate neurons and trillions of interconnections within my mind of ingrained “self awareness”. My innate desires are not in compliance with the righteousness I am desperately trying to achieve and maintain. Now, in the law of my conscience, I am wrangling over my unrestrained foolishness that is wrapped up within my mind of self that loves the momentary pleasures of self embroiled sin, and so I find myself seeking my own reasons for a justification for my failures. Oy vey, the confusion that rages within my mind! I am no more than a clanging cymbal, rattling off within myself, and to all who will hear of my self justifying wisdom, even showing off my superb knowledge of rote scripture. Now the condemnation, of the wretchedness of this old body of self serving sin, is more than I can bear. I’m nothing but a failure to my “self”, and my witness is full of hypocrisy, and therefore I am missing the mark of the high calling of God. Who shall save me from this body of death? (Please considerRomans 7:12-25)

Honestly then, who is it that is among the pardoned, that does not honestly relate to this struggle within themselves. The awareness of self does not disappear because of faith. If we are born of the Truth, then we can see that sin is still retained in the neuronal minds of self determining flesh, and we remain dependent upon God’s grace in the cleansing Life Blood of Jesus Christ, otherwise we make God a liar and His Truth is not in us. (See the link 1st
    John 1:8-10 and verse7
.) Then again, what are we going to do with this ragged body of death that each one of us is robed in. God did make us this way, but sin itself has made us who we are. There is no excuse for the sinner, but only a reliance upon the New Covenant Life Blood of Christ Jesus that separates us from our sin, and brings us into fellowship with Almighty God and His called out people! For if we walk in the light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship one with another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ His only Begotten Son, cleanses us from all sin. 1st John 1 verse 7

God’s New Covenant in the Blood of Jesus Christ provides us room to turn away from the broad path of death, and to enable us to choose the righteous and narrow Way of Jesus Christ that is paved in His Blood for our continuing return to Holy, Holy, Holy God the Almighty. The Almighty has given the very Life and Soul of His only begotten and beloved Son, so as to free those who are birthed into Christ’s resurrection of New Covenant faith, to worship God in Spirit and Truth, even when we find ourselves in our own individualistic pathways of failures that do not comply with His Perfect Way of Love.

Our Righteous Holy God understood that in His redemption plan that His people needed the continuing reminder of the application of His New Covenant Grace in the Life Blood of Christ Jesus, even though we had accepted His pardon for all of our past sins that gave us a new beginning within Him. See Romans 3:24-25. So then, time and time again when we gather together for the remembrance of God’s Good and Perfect Will in His beloved Son, the mind of the sojourner is called by the Spirit to enter into the refreshing Presence of the Father through the Spirit of the Life of His victorious Holy Son. The Lord leads us to His pasture of provisions that we might feed on Him and then leads us beside the still waters for a refreshing drink of His Spirit of Life. God is not desirous to hold any one of His people in the bondage and entanglements of our confessed foolishness, but to cleanse us and free us from our own self serving wills bent on our own perception of righteousness.

The Blood of the New Holy Covenant remains eternally efficacious for the believer through the Holy Spirit of God the Father. For God’s Holy Spirit is One with the Spirit of the Life within the saving sacrificial Blood of Jesus Christ the Son of Man, and now the One Holy Spirit of God, Who gave resurrection Life to the Body of His beloved Son, also raises up His Body of believers in the resurrection of the first born of God’s New Creation of man. It is God’s wonderful grace through the New Covenant Blood of the Son of Man that when His Body of believers would drink in expectation of God’s grace, then the Spirit of the Eternal will begin to remove the stumbling blocks of our own failures and then in God’s Perfect Love, His Holy Spirit will revive the humble hearts who look to Him, bringing Life to the earthly members of the Body of Christ.

Laboring on and in the wilder net within God’s Agape,

  163. Panetheism can cripple the mind, and usually does. When ones’ full approach stems from God’s instructions in His Word, we travel off the road of Historical Biblical Christian principles. Wake up and look to our God in Heaven. He has everything under control, whether we believe or not. It is not wise to judge Christians with a broad brush through angst. We are caretakers of this earth, not ravengers, Hungrey, lustful moneychangers need to be preached to in love on this topic. Don’t ever forget Balance is the key word here. You see, it is good to thank Him for the world He created for us, but it’s a sin to Worship it and forget the Giver. That’s when anger goes haywire.

  164. This is very good Barry, what you’ve shared this morning… Truly hearts are exposed by God’s Grace… The Truth the truth shall set you free and you shall be free indeed… As the truth of God’s Grace dawns on us we become free indeed… And in this we rejoice (as our brother Randall is sharing with us) obtaining as the outcome of our faith the salvation of our souls – the practical reality of His Freedom in our souls… We see ourselves practically transformed into His Image by this truth – of His Grace – which He has revealed to us, Love in the Lord brother, Andrew… 🙂

  165. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.
    (1 Peter 1:3-9 NASB)

Father, fill us with Your joy inexpressible and full of glory, let us truly rejoice in You as You reveal Your Truth, Your Grace to us in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, He truly is the Pearl of Great Price – He truly is and has become our Salvation – even His Name means that – and He demonstrated You above all else as a Father – that was why He came to reveal the Father – to reveal You to the entire world – He did nothing which He did not see You doing and said nothing which He did not hear You speaking – Show us the Father – He who has seen Me has seen the Father – He demonstrated You – every act He completed demonstrated You – but God demonstrates His own Love for us in this while we were still sinners Christ died for us…

Fill us with this joy inexpressible and full of Glory – this is our inheritance in the Holy Spirit – this is what You saved us for – to lavish upon us Your Glory – Your Likeness and the truth of Your Grace is revealed to us so that we also can go forth and reveal this truth – the Truth of Your Grace – to the world who need to hear the message of a Loving Heavenly Father who has made it possible for them to be restored to Fellowship with Himself – a Holy God – through the Propitiation (Atoning Sacrifice – the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom) of His Son on the cross – when You said Jesus, “It Is Finished” it was finished and now we can live out the rest of our days, now that we know Your Love, in gratitude to You for all that You have done – Bless the Lord O my soul, O my soul… Hallelujah!!! 🙂

Marilyn, I relate very much to your hobbled racehorse and needing eyes of faith…and one day sister we are gonna fly right outta them hobbles! I can feel it in my bones!

Amen Barry, very excellent and wonderful word and revelation, praise the Lord! And timely for me, and that’s why having already heard the grace that saves, I am grateful to hear preached the grace that motivates and empowers…..seeing too that the fear of the Lord is just another facet of His manifold grace! Lest I become as a tare!

Jesus speaking about John the Baptist and saying that from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force. This is likened to the Israelites having to take the Promised Land by force and also the scripture that says we “labour” to enter into His rest. So we need that motivating and empowering grace to cross that Jordan! John the Baptist/Elijah stirring up the nest of sleepy eaglets that israel had become. It is not speaking of fleshly effort but is a kind of spirit of determination and faith within, and as Lightning Storm said we have not because we ask not, so Lord I’m asking for it! For me and all of us!

Praise be to God! The night before last, my mother and I watched a movie and,Incredibly, God gave her a revelation of His love to her after seeing it.

You see, after watching the movie she realized that all the bad things that have happened in her life was not her fault. She would always to try make up for other people’s mistakes and she would end up being the one who apologized to family when it was actually the family that sinned against her.

Because of the abuse she has received, she always saw herself as a terrible person who could not be loved. But God gave her the revelation that she was the best mother and wife she could have possibly been (which is what I have been telling her for years!) but she couldn’t receive it because the abuse she suffered reinforced the idea that she was worthless and no good.

She has begun to feel God’s love in a greater way. She still has a ways to go before she fully “enters into” this revelation, but I wanted you to know that those of you who have prayed, your prayers have not gone unheard. Thank you so much!

    Praise the King!

Fabakary…..wonderful word from the Lord. Very deep and timely.

The FRUIT INSPECTION OF THE LORD happens at certain seasons of our lives, but the FINAL FRUIT INSPECTION is VERY near, and even nearer for some people.

    Luk 13:6 KJV
He spake also this parable; A certain [man] had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

    Luk 13:7 KJV
Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

    Luk 13:8 KJV
And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung [it]:

    Luk 13:9 KJV
And if it bear fruit, [well]: and if not, [then] after that thou shalt cut it down.

    Jhn 15:2 KJV
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

    Jhn 15:4 KJV
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

    Jhn 15:8 KJV
HEREIN IS MY FATHER GLORIFIED, THAT YE BEAR MUCH FRUIT, so shall ye be my disciples.

    Rom 6:22 KJV
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

    Gal 5:22 KJV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

    Gal 5:23 KJV
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

    Gal 5:24 KJV
And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

    Gal 5:25 KJV
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

    Eph 5:9 KJV
(For the fruit of the Spirit [is] in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

The Fruit of the Spirit are the CHARACTER/NATURE of the Holy Spirit FLOWING/MANIFESTING THROUGH A PERSON. It is not something we LEARN to be or do or imitate with our fleshly mind and self-control. That is “behavior modification” NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT’S CHARACTER.

Even some bibles have changed the Fruit of the Spirit to make it something WE DO, but the Fruit are manifested in us the same way as on a natural tree. The branches are DEPENDENT upon the trunk, the trunk dependent upon the roots, the roots dependent upon the soil and water……the fruit tree has NO LABOR PAINS TO GIVE BIRTH TO THE FRUIT…..AS IT IS WITH US, IT IS TOTAL DEPENDENCY and ABSOLUTE SURRENDER to the Trinity.

  169. Lightning Storm Apr 8th 2013

Thank you, Jesus, for answered prayer.

God bless you Lightening storm for speaking more on the fruits relating with the dream. It gives so much light , it is getting more clearer. 171. Lightning Storm Apr 8th 2013

Thank you for the blessing Fabakary.

Your dream is an EXCELLENT visual of what we who name the name of Jesus Christ look like to the world…the kingdom of darkness.

When we are Walking by the Holy Spirit, we have GOOD FRUIT for everyone to eat…..the world gets to TASTE THE GOODNESS OF GOD.

When we are Walking by our own FLESHLY NATURE… matter how MORAL we are or how much we quote the bible, WE ARE A BARREN TREE/WILDERNESS and the world CANNOT TASTE ANYTHING DIFFERENT THEN WHAT THEY ALREADY TASTE. We preach/teach them TRUTH, but they spit it out because they cannot TASTE THE GOODNESS OF GOD….HIS GRACE, HIS MERCY, HIS LOVE, HIS FORGIVENESS….etc.

  172. Lightning Storm Apr 8th 2013

It is not ONLY the Fruit that the world must SEE in us, but when we are Walking by the Holy Spirit, THE POWER (DUNAMIS) OF HIS PRESENCE, HIS LIGHT, HIS LOVE PIERCES THE HEARTS WHO ARE NEAR US.

What is being accomplished by the Holy Spirit when we are Walking according to His personal instructions to us daily, is mostly UNSEEN/INVISIBLE to our natural eyes.

  173. Fill her with Your Love Lord – Jonathan’s Mum – until nothing else remains in her but a Knowledge of Your Love for her filling all that was so broken before – heal all the wounds of her heart with Your Forgiveness of her and her sins – which are all forgotten and remembered no more – and now enable her to remember no more the sins which have been committed against her – enable her to remit and leave them behind – let them fall off and be free – practically to be filled with Joy in the Holy Spirit – I see this as I type – she will be filled with Joy in the Holy Spirit and she will rejoice – Praise You Jesus – Thank You Lord – Thank You Father – the Father of Mercy and the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with her spirit – let her know Your Holy Spirit comforting her right now and making her whole in her emotions and in her mind and in her will – Bless the Lord O my soul, O my soul, Worship His Holy Name – Praise You Jesus – the joy of the Lord is our strength… 🙂 Hallelujah!!! 🙂

  179. It is the height of pride to believe that Jesus could die on the cross and undergo all that He went through and pray, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do” and not be heard by His Father…

And Paul assures us that Jesus was indeed heard by His Father (emphasis added)…

When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
    (Colossians 2:13-15 NASB)

bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.
    (Colossians 3:13 NASB)

First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.
    (Hebrews 10:8-18 NIV)

Jesus was the Perfect Intercessor… Jesus was the Perfect Servant… He obeyed His Father in Submission Completely…

There is no way that Jesus’ prayer was not answered – His last recorded prayer before He died – by the Father…

If the Father promises that we can ask anything according to His will and He hears us and we can know that we have what we asked of Him then surely and Supremely Jesus could know this in this specific instance and again Paul shows us that even for the entire world this prayer was granted…

    Was granted by the Father…

Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences. We are not again commending ourselves to you but are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you will have an answer for those who take pride in appearance and not in heart. For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you. For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
    (2 Corinthians 5:11-21 NASB)

So we see that even the entire world of the unbelieving, even them, the Father has forgiven in the sense that He is not counting their trespasses against them – He is reaching out to them through us – through us who know Him – and He is pleading with them to be reconciled to Himself – He, the Father, is pleading with us for reconciliation with His creation – all of fallen humanity – He has already reconciled them but they need to receive it to be of any affect in their lives – for them to “live”…

He has made the way “wide open” for them to receive His forgiveness which He has already pre-offered – He has already pre-provided – all that has to happen is for an individual human being to receive His offer of Eternal Life by recognising Jesus as their Substitute on the cross and giving themselves to God saying, “Yes Lord” to believe in Jesus’ Sacrifice – as God – on their behalf…

If anyone resists this and trys to earn their salvation then there truly is no offering left for sin and all that awaits them is a fearful expectation of wrath which will consume His adversaries…

The wilful sin of rejecting the Grace of God and trying to establish your own system to get right with God – other than believing in His Sacrifice – His Finished Work – this will send you to hell…

To believe in what God has done on your behalf and say, “Yes Lord” and “Thank You Lord” this is what justifies you before your Almighty, Loving, Faithful, Kind, Strong, Holy and All Powerful God…

Choose this day who you will serve…

Believe in the Gift of God provided for you…

    And rest…

Cease striving and know that He is God…

He will carry you all the way through every storm and present you faultless before His Throne in heaven – for He is Faithful who called you and He will do it…

    Worship His Holy Name…

Give yourself to Him – He is reaching out to you…

Grace is not a license to sin.
If anyone is habitually living in fleshly sins and saying it does not matter because they are under Grace, then they have opened a door to deception.

Gals. 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
    2 Certainly not!
How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

Living in habitual sin is not part of the Christian walk!

Believers have been sharing much about grace, being a steward, and becoming a servant of the King.

May these two songs be a blessing to all:-

That is such good news, Jonathan. How blessed we are to hear what God is doing. As Joan W. said earlier what a blessing you are as a son to encourage your mother with such care & compassion.

Thankyou Christian Journalist for those touching songs. A real plumb line for our lives.

Good teaching Andrew J. Horton on God`s forgiveness.

Also enjoyed Lightning Storm & fabakary on Fruit. I think we are all a bit of a `fruit salad,` here, displaying God`s various friuts of the Spirit. I am finding that the more I read & listen to what different ones ae saying that I now can `see,` your faces / characters more clearly.

And as each are sharing we all have different aspects of what God is saying. Of course there is still the `us,` in there but as we journey together God will continue to shape us .

Hi Watchful, will write soon. Marilyn.

  184. Hi Andrew Strom, blessings in the Name of Jesus.

    You said
Barry – the ‘Hyper-Grace’ message of Joseph Prince and others is as different from the true “Gospel of the Kingdom” as chalk is from cheese.

Andrew, i am not so interested in what “Joseph Prince” or others have said about this so called “Hyper Grace” message. But i am wondering, what is your understanding is of the “Gospel of the Kingdom” that you have mentioned? It appears to me that you do not know/understand the difference in the “Gospel of the Kingdom” preached by John the Baptist and Jesus (To the Jew first, Rom 1;16) And the “Gospel of Grace” preached by Paul.

To me the “Gospel of the Kingdom” is what Jesus would have set up there and then, IF National Israel had excepted Him as their Messiah, but they did not. “The Gospel of Grace” to me is what Paul preached/is preaching, to the Church, which will close with the very soon rapture of the Church and THEN it will be back to the “Gospel of the Kingdom” that WILL BE set up, as we are told in scripture, the millineum Kingdom (The Gospel of the coming Kingdom) –

Matt 24:14 And this “gospel of the kingdom” shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The “Gospel of the Kingdom” and the “Gospel of Grace” are TWO different Gospels, my friend.

Matt 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

Matt 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

“The Gospel of the Kingdom” Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

“The Gospel of Grace” is to everyone that will BELIEVE.

Andrew Strom, it appears to me that you and others are very confused

    Every blessing

    Lighting Storm,

Are you from New Zealand or the States? Just wondering enjoyed your comments as well.

Your message on Abraham’s blessing was an encouragement to me today as I meditated on that post. I received some negative news at work, but I kept thinking about the message and knew God was going to help me.

    Christians Journalist,

I especially liked the second song. 🙂

  186. God will turn it around for good GaryB, just you wait… 🙂
